How Sex Dolls, Robots and AI fuel child abuse: A new report by Culture Reframed
Posted by Collective Shout 1044sc on June 19, 2025
Culture Reframed, a non-profit working to address the harms of pornography founded by Dr. Gail Dines, has released a new report: Sex Dolls, Sex Robots, and the Use of Artificial Intelligence to Undress and Abuse Children, authored by Dr. Eric Silverman.
The report outlines the current state of development of sex dolls, sex robots and AI, and how these technologies are being used to harm and exploit children. We were pleased to see our own Campaigns Manager Caitlin Roper cited throughout.
The report exposes false claims from academic defenders of these technologies, including that they are progressive or “sex positive”. As Dr. Silverman points out:
…the vast majority of AI sexual programs, devices and images do little more than reproduce conventional pornographic fantasies. AI pornography is only positive about violence, misogyny, and child abuse. These claims are tantamount to gaslighting. This paper exposes the truth.
Dr. Silverman writes about AI, Deepfakes and Undressing Apps which “seemingly depicts identifiable people in pornographic activities that never occurred”, and how these technologies are often used by schoolboys to humiliate their female co-students: “These apps are akin to forcing an adolescent girl to parade naked against her will down the school hallway.”

Japan's constant battle with pedophilia
When I see the body proportions on ancient indian sculptures I'm reminded that the misogyny and objectification we see today in our media is really nothing new...
Its the tribhanga position – A dance position. It can be seen in male Indian classical staues as well especially Nataraja.
I don't think its fair to compare it to anime and comics.
why is it not appropriate to make a comparison? Because one is old and the others are not? Why should that matter? They’re both cultural objects
you’re also bringing up the poses of the figures when the post is a comparison of the female figures’ unrealistic proportions, not their pose so it doesn’t matter if male figures are also depicted with the same pose
Exactly.
And when you look at the sculptures of males, they are neutral: their bodies are not sculpted like a caricature of the male sex. The proportions are normal.
It shows that it's a deliberate choice from the artist. I'm pretty sure the statue on the left has dark breasts because people touch it so much it lost its colour.
There are also sculptures with both men and women that look oh so very contemporary...
No form of misogyny is above criticism.
I never hear anyone saying how misogynistic and evil polytheistic religions are, even though India has the highest child marriage rates in the world, some of the highest rates of rape in the world, and both India and China have the highest rates of female infanticide in the world. We don't see brazen, visceral, tangible misogyny like this in Abrahamic faiths, yet there is no end to the attacks on Islam and Christianity in particular. Misogyny started with polytheistic religions. Why does no one ever mention this?

Sweden’s Karolinska Ends All Use of Puberty Blockers and Cross-Sex Hormones for Minors Outside of Clinical Studies
Concerns over medical harm and uncertain benefits result in a major policy shift
Update May 08, 2021: Following a new policy statement from the Karolinska Hospital that went into effect May 2021, this article has been updated to reflect the changes.
Update February, 2022: Sweden's National Board of Health and Welfare has followed the Karolinska's lead and issued a national policy update closely mirroring the policy adopted by the Karolinska. You can read more about Sweden's new policy regarding hormonal interventions for gender-dysphoric minors here.
The Karolinska Hospital in Sweden recently issued a new policy statement regarding treatment of gender-dysphoric minors. This policy, affecting Karolinska's pediatric gender services at Astrid Lindgren Children's Hospital (ALB), has ended the practice of prescribing puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones to gender-dysphoric patients under the age of 18.
This is a watershed moment, with one of world's most renowned hospitals calling the "Dutch Protocol" experimental and discontinuing its routine use outside of research settings. According to the ”Dutch Protocol,” which has gained popularity in recent years, gender-dysphoric minors are treated with puberty blockers at age 12 (and in some interpretations, upon reaching Tanner stage 2 of puberty, which in girls can occur at age 8), and cross-sex hormones at the age of 16. This approach, also known as medical "affirmation," has been endorsed by the WPATH ”Standards of Care 7” guideline.
According to Karolinska’s newest policy, which went into effect in May 2021, going forward, hormonal (puberty blocking and cross-sex hormone) interventions for gender-dysphoric minors may only be provided in a research setting approved by Sweden’s ethics review board. The policy states that careful assessment of the patient’s maturity level must be conducted to determine if the patient is capable of providing meaningful informed consent. There is also a requirement that patients and guardians are provided with adequate disclosures of the risks and uncertainties of this treatment pathway. It is not clear whether minors under the age of 16 would be eligible for such trials.
The Karolinska Hospital’s new policies echo a growing international concern over the proliferation of medical interventions that have a low certainty of benefits, while carrying a significant potential for medical harm. The latest policy issued by the Karolinska cites the UK NICE evidence review, which found the risk / benefit ratio of hormonal interventions for minors highly uncertain; the 2020 UK judicial review, which highlighted the overarching ethical problems with the practice of medical "affirmation" of minors; as well as Sweden's own Health and Technology Assessment (SBU) evidence review conducted in 2019, which found a lack of evidence for medical treatments, and a lack of explanation for the sharp increase in the numbers of adolescents presenting with gender dysphoria in recent years.
In recent months, several countries’ health authorities found that the evidence base is insufficient to justify routine early medical interventions for gender-dysphoric minors. Finland revised its treatment guidelines in June 2020, prioritizing psychological interventions and support over medical interventions, particularly for youth with post-pubertal onset of gender dysphoria (currently the most common presentation). Significant changes are also underway in the UK. Following the 2020 High Court judgement, the NHS (National Health Service) suspended the initiation of hormonal interventions to minors under 16. The ruling is currently under appeal, with a hearing scheduled for June 2021.
In North America, the debate about treatments for gender-dysphoric minors has become highly politicized. A number of US states have recently introduced laws banning the use of hormonal interventions in gender-dysphoric minors. In contrast, other states have introduced laws mandating public and private insurance coverage for a wide range of gender-"affirming" medical and surgical interventions for "gender incongruence," regardless of a patient's age or mental health status. In Canada, Bill C-6 goes even further, seeking to criminalize psychological treatment modalities, which represent the primary non-invasive alternative to medical and surgical "affirmation."
As the global awareness of the low quality of evidence of the benefits, and the potential harm of the "affirmative" medical interventions in gender-dysphoric minors grows, non-invasive alternatives for ameliorating the minors' distress, such as the provision of ethical psychological treatments and support, are expected to come into focus.
The March (going into effect April 1) and the April (going into effect May 1) policy documents, as obtained by SEGM from the Karolinska Hospital, along with our unofficial translations, are available below.

TERFS WIN
Women are ADULT HUMAN FEMALE
[zoom]
Love & DeepSpace, Loves Human Sacrifice.
I said I was going to talk about women also defend predatory behavior or portray it, so lets start with this.
Let’s talk ethics in the game, specifically around the themes of human sacrifice. Spoilers for Xavior, Zayne, and Rafayel's myth stories from the Permeant Banner Only.
First, a quick note on Aztec practice of human sacrifice, which often involved women, young girls, and slaves, with hearts being pulled out. While I thought the game just threw in some Aztec references for flavor, after reading the myths, the myth stories seem to make it deeper. As well as the only Wander with a name that is based on an actual Aztec god Tezcatlipoca [his powers were mythology accurate as well] . The other wander names are just made up, when I tried to search them. The game seems to draw inspiration from this extinct practice, especially with how the male leads come from societies that rely on human sacrifices for survival.
[*]Xavior, His planet’s survival depends on constant human sacrifices, yet he hides this from the MC for as long as possible, he also doesn’t tell anyone else until he creates the Backtrackers. He also abandoning his planet to be with the MC in a different timeline [the main story] , sure to "save her" but your also dating the MC in the Tender Hearts time line. So he abandoned his lover that's dying for one thats alive. He also didn't just make the suggestions that since Philio's is dying why not go to the new planet he found ? He keeps it to himself. Does no one question the hundreds of years of missing people on a planet where everyone is immortal?
[*]Rafayel’s story is similar, with the Lumerians needing sacrifices from their followers to maintain their society. It feels almost cult-like, especially when Rafayel plans to sacrifice someone he’s in love with to reinstate their society. The whole system seems based on murdering someone who has been groomed to love you. Sure he changes his mind, but why is their entire civilization which is suppose to be super advanced based on cutting out a girls heart ?
[*]Zayne's myth again has his powers linked to slowly killing a living human for prophecies. Now Zayne is getting Mind melded every time he realize the person he is in love with is alive by a GOD, so he can't to much. The story is vague on if he knew the power of his staff was from a human sacrifice , before he realized it was the girl he loved or not.
Another part about human Sacrifice from the Aztec culture is a "willing victim", who has been indoctrinated to think their eventual Grisel demise is something they should be proud of & the MC is pretty okay with being scarified in these stories. I question the validity of any of these super advanced cultures that seems to have surpassed current technology but also regressed to past atrocities to survive and no one seems to mind until hte fall in love ?
Their also seems to be some inconsistences with Philio's the setting of each Myth Card.
I thought the Myths were from the past but Linkon City is on Earth [?] and they have noticed as a livable planet Philio but haven't terraformed. Xavior is from a future where they figure out how. How is everyone Myth from a place in the future if they are reincarnated from the past ? 😵💫 they can travel through wormholes and terraform a planet but they can maintain it without human sacrifices ?
I have a bunch of followers, hey any of you like romance games/books/ shows but also want to criticize it ?
I think female predatory behavior should be talked about more- I know why radfem don't really talk about it since all the anti- women groups from MRA like to bring it up as a gotcah "woMEN do it too" but if you don't police your community who will.
Like the Infest fetish in the Otome games, and the weird child care to romantic partner shit is derganged.
Anime fans should be criticized for the enjoyment of loosely veiled pedophilia/incest and female comic/game fans should be as well.
And the fetish for gay men too like.... [ who are almost always in an abusive relationship]

just learned there is an OF porn "model" whose entire thing is making herself look like she's 5 years old. extraordinarily evil. she and every man who contributes to the demand for this shit should be imprisoned indefinitely.
I am seeing eretards float their 49IQ Reddit-tier theories about "reducing" child sexual abuse through the use of AI CSEM or child-like "sex dolls" or pornography such as this that uses an adult female “stand-in” for a child.
This is an ill-informed argument made exclusively by glittery-eyed morons.
If it were the case that child sexual abuse media could deter IRL child sex offending by the consumer, there would be little overlap between the men who consume child porn and the men who actually abuse children in real life… and there is significant overlap. These are also called “crossover offenders.”
A study by the Federal Bureau of Prisons actually found that 76% of men convicted solely of possessing child pornography later admitted to also having sexual contact with actual children.
The data is incredibly clear. Consumption of visual child sexualization material is directly indicative of an intention to abuse a child in real life, or a history of child sex offenses.
Further, criminologists have repeatedly warned that “stand-ins” (such as child sex dolls) are actually worse for reducing child sex offending because they are not capable of delivering negative feedback. They reinforce the behavior, not deter it.
This isn't something you can "substitute" away. It is a depravity you cannot feed under any circumstances, and need to snip at the first bud.

What is the Take It Down Act?
What we know:
The Take it Down Act is legislation introduced by Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas that makes it unlawful to knowingly publish "non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII), including "digital forgeries" created with AI software (or deepfake pornography), and require social media and similar websites to have in place procedures to remove such content upon notification from a victim," according to a 2024 release from Cruz’s office.

Other legislators that support the bill include Democratic Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota and Rep. Madeleine Dean of Pennsylvania also supports the bill.
What we don't know:
It’s unknown when the legislation will be passed in the House, but it passed the Senate with bipartisan support during the last session of Congress and again in February.
Take It Down Act roundtable
Local perspective:
First Lady Melania Trump hosted a roundtable discussion Monday on Capitol Hill as she lobbied for the Take It Down Act saying it was "heartbreaking" to see what teenagers and especially girls go through after they are victimized by people who spread such content, the Associated Press reported
She also called on the Republican-controlled House to pass the bill and send it to President Donald Trump to sign into law.
The legislation's chief sponsors are Sens. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., and Reps. Maria Salazar, R-Fla., and Madeleine Dean, D-Pa.
Cruz, who hosted the discussion, told the first lady that her leadership "is incredibly important and I’m confident it’s going to play a critical role in accelerating the passage of this bill and getting it passed into law."
CNN noted that the first lady introduced her "Be Best" platform, which included a focus on online safety during Trump’s first term in office.
AI-generated explicit images deepfakes on the rise
Big picture view:
Most states have laws protecting individuals from revenge porn, but only 20 states have explicit laws covering deepfake non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII), per a release from Congresswoman Maria Elvira Salazar of Florida.
Researchers tell the Associated Press that the number of explicit deepfakes have increased in the last several years, as the technology used to create these explicit images is more accessible and easier to use.
Dig deeper:
Over the past few years, several celebrities were reportedly victims of deepfake pornographic images that circulated online and social media.
Last year, fake sexually explicit and abusive fraudulent images of singer Taylor Swift were disseminated on the social media platform X, with some shared on Meta-owned Facebook and other social media platforms, according to the Associated Press.

Meanwhile, more fake and sexualized images of actors Miranda Cosgrove, Jennette McCurdy, Ariana Grande, Scarlett Johansson, and former tennis star Maria Sharapova were shared on multiple Facebook accounts, which amassed tons of likes and shares on the platform, CBS reported.
