I don’t know who is an author, but I found it yesterday and love it! So many emotions I even wrote short ff to this!

"Nick" she whispered, opening eyes. She was trembling, So was he, trying to cover her all the best he could.

"I'm okay, Carrots. I'm okay" he said, hugging her close, so she couldn't reach behind his back. "They didn't hurt you?" asked. She shake her head and he breathed with relief. He hadn't time to check it.

"Nick, you're breathing hard. You're really okay?" she asked with worry. He smiled gently.

"Yeah, I'm okay, Judy. Don't worry about me" he hugged her closer. Alhough burning pain in his back was telling him they weren't safe yet. But there was no way to escape. This attack have to be planned. Someone  was after them. Wanted to kill them both. But they won't get her. He had to save her. Even if it's the last thing he'll do in his life.

"Nick" she started, but he had to think what to do.

"Shhhh, I'm right here, Carrots. It'll be okay, I promise."

Her body was shaking uncontrollaby. It was normal Saturday afternoon. They were in town, enjoying each other company. Nick was about to say her one of his terrible jokes. Just then they heard shots and screames. Only a few seconds later they were running down the street, away from group of rams after them. Judy called Clauwhauster, but her phone fell down before she could say anything except "attack on the Lavery Street". Then Nick felt pain in his back. He took Judy's hand and runned to the dark alley. They wanted to kill them.

They almost did.

Then she reached behind his back, hugging him. He almost screamed, when hel small paw touched injury. Judy gasped and looked at her usually white fur. Now covered with his blood. 

“Nick, you’re injured!” she looked up at him with more fear in her eyes. “You need to get to the hospital! Now!”

“Shhh” he put hand on her mouth. “Be quiet, Fluff. We can’t move from here. They’ll see us and kill.”

“So can find us here” she hissed, hearing voices not as far as they wished  to be. Where was their help? The fox quickly covered Judy, just in time. 

“Here they are!”

“Shot them! I’m hearing sirens!”

But Nick and Judy didn’t. They heard shot. He gasped heavily and reclined his hand by the wall, squeezing her, so she didn’t make a sound.

“Where’s rabbit?!” screamed one of the rams. But now sirens were louder than before.

“I don’t care, go, go, GO!”

They ran away. Sirens were closer and closer. Judy squeezed hands on his favourite hawaii shirt, feeling tears forming in her eyes. 

“Hold on, Nick. Help will be here for a moment. Just... please, just hold on.”

He shaked. Felt her head on his chest, held her close, but his vision blured with every passing second. Blood falled down his back. It was hard to stay awake.

“I’m okay, Fluff” he said, almost whispered. She couldn’t handle this. Her tears soaked his shirt. He was dying. She knew it. He was dying and she couldn’t do anything. Anything but hearing his heartbeat slow down, as well as heavily breath. Her best friend. Her partner. Someone she cared about so much. Someone who saved her so many times. Who was always beside her. Who made her laugh so many times. Someone she couldn’t imagine living without was dying just in front of her. Practically in her arms. And she was helpless.

“Please, don’t leave me. Stay. I need you. I know you can make it. Just one more minute, Nick, please...” she sobbed desperately. He put his nose between her lower ears, breathing her scent, possibly last time in his life. “Hold on. Hold on for me.”

“I told you I’ll always be here to save you” his voice was weak.

“No. Won’t. Don’t. I want you to be here with me! You can’t die, Nick. Please, stay with me. I love you. I love you, you dumb fox.”

He was too weak. Dark was everywhere. That’s how it ends.

“Love you too, Judy”.

His hand fell, no longer on her back. Body become limp and lifeless. She couldn’t hear his heartbeat anymore. 

And with it she knew he was gone. But couldn’t admit it. It’s Nick. He would never leave her, would he? He promised. 

He can’t be dead. 

He can’t.

“You okay, Hopps?” asked Bogo as she was about to leave his office. She didn’t look at him. Even month vacation on her family farm wasn’t enough for her to recover afetr that day. She still couldn’t sleep. Saw his face. His smile. Heared his soft voice whispering funny comments about Chef into her long ear. Felt his gently touch. She still couldn’t believe he was gone. After all they have been through he died practically in her arms. For her. He died to keep her safe. He lied he was okay for her comfort. 

These rams were catched no long after this events. Catched and arrested. It was the only good thing she was interested in.

“Hopps?”

She raised head and finally looked at her boss. Never let them see, that they get to you. Even if she was distracted and felt lonely and empty, there was no need to inform them about it. They don’t need to know. So she nodded.

“Yeah, I’m okay. I’m gonna do my job now. No need to worry” said and leaved the office.

Even if she was absolutely not okay. 

And? What do you think about it? Sorry for mistakes, but I were writing this too fast to look for any ^^. That’s what I think, when I see this art.
