How would your muse furnish their dream home? Would they prefer a traditional style? Or something more contemporary? Would they crave open spaces, natural light, and minimalism? Or do they not mind a little clutter and would, instead, want for there to be curtains and drapes and patterns galore? How many bookcases? Any plants? Antiques? Wicker โ yes or no? What would the overall vibe be? Warm and cozy? Light and breezy? Old-world sophisticated? Artsy and eclectic? The height of glam?
Nickโs more of a traditional and minimalist guy when it comes to home design. Heโs also pretty lazy in all areas outside of work. So, not a huge amount of effort goes into how his home looks. Heโs content with the basic necessities, which might be a symptom of his growing up poor and thus lacking a lot of options in that department.
Thereโs definitely clutter. Because he focuses so much of his energy on work and studying, the apartment chores end up falling by the wayside. He doesnโt mean to be messy, it just happens. Cleaning up isnโt high on his list of priorities. Being with someone who wouldnโt mind picking up would honestly be a lifesaver quality for him.
His apartment might have little odd things or knickknacks around because heโs a sentimental guy who holds onto things with said value. Itโs canon that the red handkerchief he used on Judyโs leg is from his old Ranger Scouts uniform, for example. If heโs given something by someone heโs grown to love and care for, you can bet itโll end up somewhere in his apartment.
One bookcase right now, though that might change as his career evolves and he requires more on-hand information. Well, anything that his laptop canโt immediately provide, anyway.
Some plants, though he doesnโt like anything with scents. They help clean the air. No antiques or wicker. The vibe would probably be pretty laid back and simple, the same that Nick himself usually exudes. Comfortable, if one looks past the mess.ย
If weโre talking dream home? Probably the only thing heโd add to all that would be a sewing room. The activity helps him feel close to his father, who was a tailor. He taught him the skill, and it would be a nice place for him to go during those times where he misses him.
