A voice message plays. "Hey baby, uh, it's me. Uhm... Our anniversary is comin' up. It's a pretty big one... So I have a surprise for you. J'tame, petit." Along with a time and address.

Five years. The longest he's ever gone steady with someone. Well, if you counted from when they met it might be longer. On-and-off relationships came with the territory. Courting Rogue had challenges for both sides, for many reasons.

There was the more direct matter of her being unable to touch anyone without a barrier, but there were subtler things, too. Her distrust of him was a big one. Always had been. He couldn't blame her for it.

But he was still excited for what he'd planned. He felt like a stereotypical leading man in a rom-com. He'd rented out an old friend's home and fixed it up right nice. He laid the outside path with a green velvet carpet to match her favored color. He placed bouquets of flowers along the sides of the path.

He hung lights, attached to an interesting mechanism. Always one for a show. The inside was beautiful. Remy had some interesting friends. The decor was rustic. Cozy.

So there he waited at the beginning of the path, waiting for her to arrive. He held what he remembered being her favorite flower, twirling it in anticipation.

He wore a deep purple button-up, a black and silver vest, black slacks that fit him in all the right ways, a pair of rather snappy shoes, and gloves. Full gloves. He dressed to her comfort; As little skin showing as possible.

@southern-belle-outcasts sent: The last thing she expected upon coming home was to find Remy passed out on the floor. Cue panic- she immediately checked him for injury while trying to rouse him. “What the heck happened?”

Remy took a moment to rouse, that's for sure. He had a pretty bad bump on the back of his head, but it wasn't bleeding. Even so, he's definitely out of it. He blinked rapidly for a moment before his eyes finally came into view.

He muttered something that didn't quite come out as words on the first try.

"D...don't laugh..."

He pointed to the left, where Oliver was cowering under a chair.
