â For yours to accidentally make mine trip on the stairs.
Why did the Popeâs Chambers have to be so damn far away from the Scorpio Temple? It wasnât tbat Zaphiri didnât like walking, but just climbing up endless flights of stair upwards and then downwards could become real boring, really quick. Not to mention that at that hour it looked like the whole Sanctuary was dead, silence lingering arpund like thick coat- Eerie and umpleasing, where the hell where the crickets?! Those tiny insects were a curse to hear, but in that moment the Scorpio wouldâve rather had that than nothing.
As he was grumbling to himself, going down the stairs after what had felt like the longest mission briefing ever, Zaphiri hadnât even noticed that Krest had crossed paths with him, the Aquarius walking in the opposite direction, probably to reach his own temple. The Scorpio turned his head to half-glare at the Saint (he didnât even greet him, the uptight bastard), but as he did so, he couldnât help but noticed that the other wasnât wearing the usual long-ish coat and- Had he always had such a nice backside?
Sincerely distracted by the view, Zaphiri didnât put his foot down properly- Actually, he missed the step as a whole, and the Scorpio slipped forward, tumlbing down the last flicght of stairs, swears flying out at every hit he took- That day wasnât getting any better.
Krest let out a chuckle, a quite humored one that few had the chance to witness. He was amused, evidently so, and now utterly satisfied. The reaction he received in return to his gestures had pleased him more than he thought, and it had been worth the hassle.Â
âA couple of warm drinks would probably soothe that frostbite, you have nothing to worry about.â He said nonetheless, with his smirk crooking a bit.Â
At Zaphiriâs following words â or what he had been able to understand â, Krest arched lightly one of his brows. âIâm listening.â He remained where he was, not lifitng a finger. It was granted he didnât trust Zaphiri at all to begin with, let alone after freezing his mouth up.Â
The Scorpioâs glare intensified even more, his beckoning stopping just for him to stomp closer to the older man, trying to look as scary as he could with his tongue dangling pitifully out of his mouth- Quite the task but he really needed to do what he had in mind, so as soon as he was close enough, Zaphiri raised his right arm, almost shoving his hand in the manâs face just to slowly, but certainly lift his middle finger up, making sure it was RIGHT into Krestâs sight.
â...âUCK âOU.â It didnât sound as angry as he wanted, but it probably conveyed his feelings pretty well. âAh! âour âtupid ICE.â With that he turned around, now clearly as offended as before (mostly to himself, really) as he stomped away, hoping that there was still some coffee or tea back into his temple.

Why did the Popeâs Chambers have to be so damn far away from the Scorpio Temple? Not to mention that at that hour it looked like the whole Sanctuary was dead, silence lingering arpund like thick coat- Eerie and umpleasing, where the hell where the crickets?!
The cerulean eyes narrowed further when Zaphiri started to encircle him. He felt the warmth of the Scorpioâs body near him, but it didnât cause any sort of reaction. Not until he started speaking.
Krest turned his head, meeting Zaphiriâs gaze from upclose with his own showing clearly how displeased he felt. âYou are obscene and filthy, and your presence disgusts me beyond measure.â Krest desired to smudge that grin with his hand for such an incovenient remark, but he wouldnât. Well, perhaps he could at least freeze Zaphiriâs tongue to teach him a lesson.
To do that, however, Krest opted for a rather peculiar, but interesting way. Well, he didnât find it interesting, but the result would probably be more pleasing done like this than through another way.
If Zaphiri thought heâd leave on top and with the last word, he was seriously mistaken. Krest took advantage of the proximity and turned on his heels before leaning in, claiming Zaphiriâs lips with his own whilst his fingers held the otherâs nape in place so he wouldnât pull away. He deepened the kiss by slipping his tongue in, accumulating his frosty cosmos around the area of his mouth, controlling it with his breath. He made it slow and convincing enough.
It didnât last that long, but enough for Krest to feel the texture of Zaphiriâs lips. Not that bad of a kisser, he was, but it didnât matter. When he broke the kiss, he wiped his own lips with his fingers, releasing Zaphiriâs neck. âIn all those 500 years, that might be my masterpiece.â
He held a smug smirk, and folded his arms before his chest once more, taking a step back to admire his work of art. Zaphiriâs lips were fairly frozen, and so was his tongue. Krest made sure to freeze it up as well, just to make his life a bit more difficult. âWhatever you intended to tell the Patriarch will have to wait now, I believe. I wonder how it feels now that your tongue is not that loosen anymore⌠Probably quite refreshing, no, Zaphiri?â
âThat I can see- Actually, itâd be hard not to notice, seeinâ with what sort of grim expression youâre lookinâ at me.â Zaphiri laughed, feeling just a little bit too satisfied by the Aquariusâ reaction to his not-quite-subtle explanation about the reasons behind his rather embarassing fall down the stairs- Embarassing, but yet again, absolutely worth the consequences.
He was about to straighten his position and leave, all too eager to take off the Cloth and see if the tumbling had left any visible bruises on his skin- The Scorpio had felt some parts of the armour digging inside of him as he rolled down the stairs. However, before Zaphiri could exactly move away, he was grabbed none too gently by the shorter Saint and efficently stunned not only by the kiss in itself, but rather by Krestâs iron grip on him- As if he was worried (perhaps that was not the right word) about him leaving.
The Scorpio mentally snorted: why the hell would he ever want to leave? That was just another reason to stay, if anything- Who knew the guy had it in him to do something quite like that? It was a pleasing surprise no douby, a little speck of heaven that was dusted off before the younger Saint even had the time to place his hands anywhere- The cold bit him as if Krest had closed his teeth on his tongue, making Zaphiri wince at first and then let out a muffled, but alarmed sound and he almost shoved the other Saint away.
Was that how it felt to lick pure ice? His tongue dangled out of his mouth in quite the ridiculous manner and it felt like the appendage was burning and hurt all over. âWhaâ âd âuck?!â Zaphiri carefully touched his own tongue with his index, wincing again: the old bastard! And if he wasnât imagining things, even his lips felt terribly...Chapped. Like after staying out in the cold for days at end.
Zaphiriâs glare screamed bloody murder and so did his balled fists as he stared at the Aquarius- What an incredible piece of- NRGH. âDonâ âen âart âith âuns!â Bad puns were the last thing he needed, especially because he was rather ashamed (but not so much) to realize that despite the fact that he had obviously been fooled like an idiot, that kiss aroused him just a little. Athena damnit. âI âeed âo âell âuo âomething.â He beckoned the other Saint with his hand a little, looking considerably calmer, which was...Surprising.

A short quirk of a smirk graced Krestâs lips, and yet he shrugged faintly his shoulders, but said nothing in return.
At the proximity, however, Krestâs cerulean eyes narrowed in disgust and he pulled his face away, meeting Zaphiriâs gaze, regardless. âI pass. Albeit I do wonder what got you distracted to the point you couldnât catch your balance back before making such a scene.â He tilted his head. âI donât think you are an idiot to an extreme of submiting yourself to get injuried for the sake of gaining a bit of attention because I happened not to acknowledge your presence beforehand.â
Zaphiri recoiled as if Krest had just slapped him, making a sound with his nose and then an awkward cough, looking around: lying in that moment would bring him no gain, would it? Not to mention it would be interesting to see the Aquarius reaction, so the Scorpio simply turned again, the most mischievous grin stretching his lips and showing off his rows of teeth. âI had a good reason to look up and consequently fall down, you know?â
The younger Saint walked around Krest, stopping right behind him to tower over the Aquarius, lowering his head enough to speak particularly close to his ear. âMy eyes were irremediably glued to your ever so pleasing-to-look-at backside. Quite the sight for sore eyes, if you ask me. It was worth the fall.â

Krest had barely realized how much time he spent with Sage, for he only noticed it was already the fall of the dusk when he left the Popeâs chambers. His mind was busy with factors of previous conversations, to the point his surroundings were oblivious to him. Moreover, he had more important things to be concerned about, thus Zaphiriâs presence had gone by practically unnoticed as Krest climbed down the stairs.
Until, that is, Zaphiri made his whole presence acknowledged by falling down the staircase, causing the stairsteps to tremble a bit and making a loud âthudâ when he at last got still, spread above the end of the stairs. Krest only arched an eyebrow at the sight, ceasing his steps before Zaphiriâs fallen body. He folded his arms before his chest.
âI wonder if I should be surprised regarding how inattentive you can be.â Krest sighed, looking down at him. âAre you hurt?â
That was quite the long fall, really- His Cloth clanged and made an awful lot of noise as he fell, but it was when he finally stopped that Zaphiri realized just how much every part of his body hurt: not that it was unbearable, it was just mildly uncomfortable and even forcing himself to sit proved to be difficult- And an addition pain to the side. Scratching his head, the Scorpio turned to look at Krest, this time fully glaring at the Aquarius Saint.
âGeh, what do you say?â The Scorpio hoisted himself up, pretending to dust the armour off as he looked at everything but Krest, feeling just a little embarassed- Not because he was staring where he shouldnât have, but because he had got hurt while doing that- Really, a shame. âI didnât even know you ackowledged my presence- Iâd say this is progress, extreme progress! Youâre even caring now.â Zaphiri sneered as he crossed his arms and bend his torso a little to look closer at the shorter Saint. âWanna do a quick check-up, mister?âÂ

âI say thatâs plenty tâbe glad about, Lugo.â
âOy, theyâre talkinâ about me! Nice to know I am a nightmare for all of you.â

âHold your horses right there- Yâdonât know who these âGreekâ people are? Damn my lady, you happen to be in GREECE, where GREEK people live. Saying that youâve gone astray is a lilâ bit of an understatement, if you donât even know who we are.â
âYouâve quite the mouth on you, havenât you? Nevertheless, I suppose you are correct. This is a most peculiar situation, to wander so far from Hyrule by accidentâŚâ
âUhm? Hyrule? And where is that supposed to be? Like some sort of far away island in the middle of the Mediterranean sea or...Farther away?â
âOh, donât worry about that. Youâre certainly not the only one failing to understand what your brother is saying- He spends too much time talking with the trees and he forgot how to communicate with us, mortals.â Zaphiri shook his hand in front of his face, as if too shoo away a negative thought- Sisyphus had no blame in that, Ilias needed a vocaboulary. A human one. The Scorpio Saint listened to what the young man had to say before crossing his arms, careful not to ruin either bow nor arrows: there was no way he could show him how to use those two things- Considering how much time had passed since he had last used a bow, heâd be of no help. âListen, I cannot help- Truth is, Iâd be a sucky archer. I am way too rusty. But I can sit here and watch you- That way I can point things out.â
Sisyphus stared for a moment, as if considering what was said. â⌠Yeah, I guess thatâs a good point⌠You have a different way of fighting.â
He almost felt a little foolish, again, but reached out to take the bow back from Zaphiri. He thought that the weapon had been becoming familiar in his hands. Shooting an arrow definitely wasnât all it took to become a Gold Saint, though.
He pulled back the arrow, doing his best to keep everything steady in his hand, this time. He wouldnât let the arrow stray even a hairâs width.
âWhat do you think about being a Gold Saint?â he asked, trying to choose a suitable target.
âYou bet it is- Itâs the simple truth, eh.â Zaphiri felt like he had just dodged a kick in the face, considering just how bad he was at using a bow- He had learnt how to use it, but it really felt like a thousand years ago and sincerely, the Scorpio didnât feel like making any bad impressions on the young Saint-to-be. He observed how Sisyphus got back into position, feeling somehow happy to see that the boy looked slightly more sure of himself as he aimed for the the target. Zaphiri sat down and observed Sisyphus, thinking about how to answer the question he had just received- Not a simple one. âI think itâs one of the most amazing things that couldâve ever happened to me. Itâs a duty, a terribly important one that will always weight on your shoulders, but- Itâs a nice sorta weight, you know?â
Accidents happen all the time.
Send one of the following for my museâs response.
âš For yours to accidentally hit mine in the face with the door. â For yours to accidentally make mine trip on the stairs. ⨠For mine to accidentally burn yours with coffee. â For mine to accidentally break a glass and get yours cut. ⼠For mine to accidentally bite yours too hard while kissing. â For yours to accidentally hit their head with mineâs head. â both of them to accidentally fall right into a thorn bush. â For both of them to accidentally get bitten by a furious dog. â For both of them to accidentally get food poisoned. ââ For yours to accidentally get soap in mineâs eyes. â For mine to accidentally cause an allergic reaction to yours.
âThatâs actually a good point there. Not enough nature-man connection in that sort of job- Maybe he could be like an alchemist or things like that. Yâknow, with all the herbs and trinkets and whatever those guys use to control nature. No, wait, he wouldnât control it⌠So maybe just a guy that uses herbs. There.â Why had his friend that fixation with nature anyway? Did he wake up one day and decided that everything was beautiful and had to be preserved? Whatever. The older Scorpio grinned, showing just how proud he was of the result of his years-long training. âThatâs right. Youâre one of the few thatâs allowed to use a weapon, a real one, that is. And since you have such a âluckâ, so to say, why not use it at best? People are going to trust you with their lives- Knowing you could be in the last rows covering their back with this.â He held up the bow, giving it a quick glance. âDonât be afraid to use it- It might be the only thing keeping you and your companions from dying. And the enemy ainât gonna stand sitll like a target, mh?â
âItâs not like Iâve been slacking on my trainingâŚâ Sisyphus protested, shifting around uneasily. âItâs just⌠the way my brother explains things, sometimes I have a hard time understanding what he means.â
Heâd been around the Sanctuary long enough to know that not everyone did things exactly the same way. But his brother was one of the strongest of any of them, a hero, so Sisyphus couldnât take the things he said too lightly, either. He wasnât sure if it was his own shortcoming or of the two of them were just too different.
âI already know that I have to get a lot stronger than this. Thatâs why Iâm asking you.â
âOh, donât worry about that. Youâre certainly not the only one failing to understand what your brother is saying- He spends too much time talking with the trees and he forgot how to communicate with us, mortals.â Zaphiri shook his hand in front of his face, as if too shoo away a negative thought- Sisyphus had no blame in that, Ilias needed a vocaboulary. roaring-golden-lion
âAnd you aaaaareeeeâŚ.?â Zaphiri tilted his head to a side like a curious cat, eyeing the person before him with a somewhat confused expression.
ââŚ?â A saint? A Scorpio Saint..? He observed the golden armor more carefully this time. Is he not Milo? Kardia? Why the heck this man suddenly asked him. He had no idea. Did he made any mistake?
â..Aiolia.â He answered briefly.
â..Who are you? What are your name?â He asked back.
âGee, are all the Leo Saints this lively? Gotta be a trait of the zodiac sign or something.â Ilias never was a good example of happiness, he didnât even remember ever seeing the guy smile, to be honest. And this one- Wasnât anything different. The Scorpio Saint arched one eyebrow before placing a hand on his hip to lean forward. âUh? What was that? You donât know WHO I am? THATâS a problem, yâknow?â
âI wonât thank you for the sarcasm.â He answered with a dead stares. He knew some of Leo Saints in the past had same attitude of him, rarely smiled. Aiolia knew much of sarcasm. He received a lot of it when Aiolos left the Sanctuary and the lion eventually learnt.Â
"I came from another era.â It is obvious Aiolia had no idea of who he is. After meeting with Kardia and this another Scorpio Saint he had to deal with. Unfortunately, written history of the past Saint were lack of details.
Zaphiri snorted, pinching the bridge of his nose as if trying to overcome an upcoming sigh: Leo Saints, all made the same. âI didnât ask you to thank me- That wouldâve been asking for too much, especially out of a lion.â He looked back at the younger Saint, finding it hard not to laugh, really. âOh, is that so? Thatâs something I had yet to hear. As an excuse, I mean.â Like hell heâd believe in space travle or time travel- That crap was just for Gemini Saints, right? Because they could break galazies and all that obnoxious yadda yadda.
