Yes I am Native American, but I don’t look it. And no it’s not one of those my great grandmother was Cherokee. I am 2nd generation off the rez Tuscarora, Iroquois Turtle Clan.

Does that mean I am not going to label myself as native? HELL TO THE FUCK NO.

To be honest about a year ago, I would’ve said “You’re right.” But since I have outed myself, been proud for a long ass time of my indigenousness, and literally not let anyone take away being native because of my skin tone, I am literally just sitting here laughing as I get these fucks in my mentions about once a week.

So to my white-passing natives, to my afro-indigenous natives that pass more heavily on the black side, to my white-passing asians to anyone that doesn’t fit the physical stereotype of your culture: keep doing you, hun.
