Ive read a few of Dihs time as robin and then compared it to Tim's early robin days and Cass' earlier appearances but the way Dih was treated was VERY different to the other robins, I would argue even Jason is more loved (as a robin) considering the fact that he was adopeted even before Dih. He was treated like a partner yes, maybe hes Bruces favourite partner because Bruce didnt have to worry about him as much as the others but that doesnt mean hes the favourite robin/child. Tim canonically has the most hugs from Bruce (i swear that boy is always being hugged by somone in most of his runs), and Cass has the healthiest relationship or as healthy as it can get. Cass and Bruce get along the most, her and Duke have rarely had a falling out with Bruce. But everyone refuses to see that because they are fixated in their personal favourite character being everyone else's favourite (i am guilty of this myself).

That brings me on to be second point.

Animated Dih is NOT comic Dih, just because he is the animators favourite and hes has a hundred and one shows doesnt mean its canon. Hes your favourite because you didnt consume media outside if his character and refuse to see that just Because Bruce is seen caring for him as father would do so in his own shows or comics doesnt mean anything. Like let's talk about all star batman. Bruce treated Dih HORRIBLY in his early robin days.

these arguments over who's the favorite child or the best robin tend to always boil down to people just propping up their personal favorite, or bringing down characters they don't particularly like out of sheer malice, and that's exactly what you're doing lol.

while bruce has never definitively stated who his favorite child is, there are so many panels out there that point to dick being the one he regards in the most special light. here are just a few examples:

You're doing the same thing you accuse Dick's fans of doing. You're the one projecting.

Because if we talk about reading about other characters besides our favorites, then you'd see that there's MUCH MORE content that could lead us to conclude that Dick is the favorite than those you're mentioning.

And you can't compare Dick's days as Robin to later Robins like Tim, because the main difference relies in the era in which each character appeared. Their relationships are heavily influenced by the times they come from. So, of course, Tim, Cass, Duke, etc. are going to have a 'healthier' relationship with Bruce (which I don't think they have) than the one with Dick. Because Dick emerged in the '40s and Tim appeared around the '90s, the father-son relationships that existed in the media were very different, and that ended up being reflected in each character's personality to this day. That's why you can't compare one to the other.

You also can't talk about the fact that Bruce adopted Jason before Dick, because again, that was largely influenced by the times; in those years it was seen as strange for a young, single man to adopt a child, plus they didn't have a big age difference; Bruce was in his mid-twenties. That's why the relationship between the two of them has always been seen as more like brothers, unlike that of Jason and then Tim.

You're accusing me of the same things I accused Dih fans of. Its just going back and forth and judging by the way you're so defensive I can see you havent read much comics surrounding Bruce's other children.

Now let's talk about your 1st point about the difference in times. This is like saying "oh but back then emotionally or physically abusing your child is fine because back then thats how parents showed love" also the whole "more like brothers" thing is stupid too because even if they were an older brother usually takes on a more paternal role for a younger brother whom he has a large age gap with regardless of times I would argue it would have been more done in the past then now, when someone's parents would pass away their older brother would take on the role as the father naturally nowadays those kids would probably have to go to foster care. Also theres probably many examples of this because the 40s was when world war 2 happened and a lot of people did end up becoming orphans or without a father and the older siblings (usually would be a male as society has always been patriarchal and women didn't have as much rights) would have to become their younger siblings guardians or help their mother with fatherly duties.

The 2nd point you made about how theres more content around Dih, isnt it proving my point then? If Dih has sm content and been around for so long how come a character that has the least amount of content is shown being cared for a lot earlier then him?? And dont bring up the "difference of times" bs. A father's love has always existed, especially someone as rich as Bruce who can afford to take care and spoil a child.

The 3rd point about the hugs, I admit its a poor argument but it also doesn't have to be, we all know how Bruce isnt a very clingy person but if he truly cares about a person he would try his hardest to show how much he loved them and that can be portrayed to acts of love like hugging or even affirmation (which Tim gets quite a lot as well).
