Well to start with the pay on offer would be much higher. So why try to recruit more women into the sex trade? You can pay for an all-inclusive rape fest at a German megabrothel, you get a sausage, a beer and as many of the captive women as your cock can stand for less than a restaurant meal. Why so cheap? Because of a flood of trafficked Eastern European women.

More competition but less pay.

So who is actually promoting more women in the sex trade? Who gains from the price of coerced sex or the groping of a lapdancer being low? Not the women themselves.

We've all seen the OnlyFans stories, where the massive influx of new women and girls means the average content producer makes a few hundred, tops.

And a woman calling out radfems (not fire and brimstone conservatives, natch) to try to convince us she's too cool for school and is both successful and still having to hustle because life. is. like. that. and we are so removed from her cool yet grounded reality we have the audacity to point out its not a great decision to sell your body to men?

The Fable of Abraham Lincoln and the Pigs

Once Lincoln was traveling in a mud-wagon coach along a swampy, rural area. His fellow passenger was his good friend and US Senator Edward Dickinson Baker, who later lost his life in the Battle of Ball’s Bluff at the onset of the American Civil War.

While they were conversing in the mud-wagon coach, Lincoln remarked to Baker that in doing good and evil, all people are motivated by selfishness. Just as Baker challenged Lincoln’s assertion, their coach crossed a rickety bridge over a slough (a large swampy marsh.)

Abruptly, Lincoln and Baker glimpsed a mother pig making a terrible squeal because her piglets were stuck in the swamp, couldn’t get out, and were in danger of drowning.

As their coach started to head away, Lincoln yelled, “Driver, can’t you stop just a moment?” The driver replied, “If the other fellow don’t object.”

With Baker’s approval, Lincoln jumped out of the wagon, ran to the slough, lifted the piglets one by one out of the swamp, and carried them to the dry bank of the swamp.

When Lincoln returned to the coach, Baker remarked, “Now, Abe, where does selfishness come in this little episode?”

Lincoln replied, “Why, bless your soul, Ed, that was the very essence of selfishness. I would have had no peace of mind all day had I gone on and left that suffering old sow worrying over those pigs. I did it to get peace of mind, don’t you see?”

When I got Holly, I socialized her the same way I would have socialized a puppy. She got to meet a bunch of new people, she got taught how harnesses and leashes work, and she got exposed to a TON of ‘uncomfortable’ situations. Car rides? Exposure. Going with me to Petshmo? Exposure. Being around a large group of people? EXPOSURE! 

Wanna know the result? I now have a cat that’s perfectly comfortable going on walks, going on car rides, and actually prefers her leash to being in a carrier! She loves people, and she’s friendly and not shy or defensive even if the person approaching her is a total stranger. She likes going places, even the vets office, because those aren’t terrifying experiences to her anymore because she got used to a lot of the stimuli as a 5 month old kitten (which is how old she was when I adopted her from the shelter). Every person who meets her remarks about how friendly and confident she is. That’s directly a result of how I socialized her as a kitten.

My other two cats weren’t socialized this way and they’re skittish around other people, don’t really like going anywhere other than “home,” and would rather die than be on a leash. They fight going into their carriers (Holly sleeps in hers like it’s a bed), and going to the vet is a terrifying experience for them (I only take them places that I absolutely HAVE to). 

Cats? Same thing. Who is cleaning up their shit outside? Who is dealing with the ecological displacement of native predators & other ecological effects? Cat attacks might not kill anyone but you may get toxoplasmosis and for pregnant women or anyone immunocompromised that can get pretty bad.

Trap neuter/spay release programs, shelters, and adoption from shelters along with people not letting their cats out unsupervised/unleashed ever is the only way for us out of this mess.

I have lived with a cat I could trust to stay right by me without a harness outdoors. She still needed supervision. My young cat who loves going out but bolts at loud noises needs to be in her vest and leash or held very securely.

You don’t need to be “depriving” them of anything good by rejecting the free-ranging nonsense.
