All Fall Down
Black leather creased with age, velvet roses thrown onto the stage, sweet plum wine, silvered lilies, gunpowder residue, smoky amber, and a whisper of glittering white musk drifting through the wreckage after the final encore.
Daniel
He smells like paperbacks full of annotations, old cologne lingering in wool coats, and the cold metallic air of Dubai before dawn. Tabac smoke curls through annotated pages while cedar shelves sag under the weight of decades. Espresso, ink, static electricity, and fading cologne cling to the skin like unanswered questions.
La Fontaine de Sang
Crimson rose, black cherry, garnet wine, velvet pomegranate, dark patchouli, smoked labdanum, antique mahogany, and a single drop of red musk.
Lelio
White carnations, orris butter, white rose, heliotrope, sugared almond blossom, bourbon vanilla silk, Venetian musk, pale sandalwood, beeswax, and a flourish of bergamot.
Lestat
His scent opens with a theatrical blaze of warm cognac, aged beeswax candles, and feral lupine musk. At the heart of his perfume beats Medieval French church wood, incense smoke still clinging to the stone, all aflame with the black leather, sweet brandy, and glam-glittered crystalline musk of a rock god.
Nicki
A haunted concerto of weathered violin wood, black velvet, beeswax candles, bruised violets, wine-soaked iris, and chilled silver amber distilled into a fragrance of impossible longing and exquisite desolation.
The Loneliness
Immortal emptiness, endless starless nights: black leather, clove smoke, crimson amber, black patchouli, and the last curl of extinguished incense.
Why Do I Have to Feel?
White cognac and torn paper, a melody caught mid-breath and left hanging in the dark. Pale iris bruised by rainwater and tears, osmanthus petals, and the faint green bite of night-blooming cereus unfurling unseen in the shadows. Aged oak and dry amber, black musk sinking into itself like swallowed sound.
Wolfkiller
Frost-hardened pine, snow-covered cedar, black spruce pitch, wolf musk, torn leather, iron-bright blood, cold stone, red velvet, and amber fire.

as the lab is set to release additional fragrances in their licensed The Vampire Lestat collection this week, I thought I would write up a couple notes about a handful of other gorgeous vampire scents they have done.
Not all of them are currently available on the site, but may be out there on the secondhand market for you to discover (or maybe some of your internet acquaintances would be willing to decant samples, wink).
The Blood is the Life (Halloween 2019 Limited Edition) - Blood trickling through thick, dark myrrh and a rivulet of unholy, desecrated sacramental wine.
Honestly they had me at myrrh and wine, this is slinky sexy dark goodness. The wine is dark and fruity without being overly sweet, and the lightless velvet myrrh purrs around in the red curtain of it like a black cat. Just a hint of coppery blood. Mayyybe my fav vamp scent of theirs for simplicity and wearability and 10/10 vibes.
Nosferatu (currently available, Eternal Collection) - Desiccated herbs and gritty earth brought to life with a swell of robust and sanguineous red wines.
Incredibly realistic notes of fresh earth make Nosferatu appropriately spookier, cryptier, and more decidedly undead, but with that same thread of dark fruit laden wine that adds the pulse of seduction. Classically gothic goodness for year round enjoyment.
This is Carmilla as a "monstrous cat," so it definitely has a scary edge, but it's so sleek and sexy!! I know some folks are intimidated by vetiver, and if that's not enough there's oudh in here, but you should get your paws on this, because these classic base notes hold up the most stunning amber/clove in the universe. maybe a feral black cat on paper, but really gives more of an impression of a vampire in black silk. a total knockout.
Heavy as Honeyed Pulses Beat (Halloween Limited Edition 2021) - opoponax and vetiver throbbing with thick globs of smoked honey.
my first impression of this was weirdly granny smith apples and peanut butter. of course it's the sweetness of the honey with the grassy vetiver working that magic, and it's just brilliant. the opoponax adds a dark, menacing aspect lurking in the background, and it ends in a smoky-sweet vetiver that really contributes to a feral feeling of running wild.
Eve (currently available, Only Lovers Left Alive) - Her scent is one that travels through the eons: the Irish moss, yarrow, and hawthorn of the Iron Age Britons, ancient Rome’s omphacium and honey, myrrh and calamus from Egypt, the frankincense and damask roses of the Florentine Renaissance, white sandalwood from the Far East, Moroccan saffron and rose water, and a swirl of incense from the souks.
The roses are very much at the center of Eve's scent but there is so much complexity surrounding them. the scent alone doesn't smell super vampiric to me, but it smells perfectly like I imagine Eve smells, and so it does not need to smell vampiric. The ancient spices and incense wear beautifully. it is one of THEE lab scents of all time.
Cicuta (currently available, Vampires Don't Sleep Alone) - Dry, dusty rose petals, candle smoke, frankincense, and saffron.
A slice of the scent notes from Eve, with a more concentrated rose. Cicuta has a cool richness: the dust motes are here, but the rose remains a deep red. This hits more like a vampiric rose to me, if that is the kind of rose or the kind of vampire scent you are after. A truly lovely scent for a supposedly unlovely vampire.
Our Hearts Condemn Us (currently available, Only Lovers Left Alive) - Keralan teakwood, Bulgarian rose otto, Himalayan cedar, and oudh.
another rose scent, but equally a teak scent, and the oudh and cedar support them seamlessly. an achingly lovely gothic rose whose velvety dark red blossoms are nestled right into the coffin of your four chambered heart.
Hal (currently available, Only Lovers Left Alive) - Saffron-infused bourbon vanilla, blackened honey, Kashmir wood, Atlas cedar, ambrette seed, hay, and Egyptian jasmine absolute.
Hal smells like the fantasy ideal of a humid evening: dark and lush and ripe. several bold notes blended beautifully into a seductive composition. roses and funeral flowers often get associated to vamps but here jasmine is a clear contender for vampiric floral perfection.

I don't know if anyone wants to know my TVL thoughts but that's never stopped anyone on tumblr before
I think TVL tried to do too much, and some of it was pretty great. they focused on mostly successfully answering the classic questions "who hurt him?/why is he like that?!" plus they did a great job with the band and the music imo. and honestly, I like that they tried to make something wilder and weirder than the book.
otoh, I know they probably left a lot of loose ends on purpose, but with the cast growing significantly, it was harder to connect in all the places I wanted. a lot of background and relationship stuff felt rushed, and unfortunately a lot of us are showing up to see the background and relationship stuff!!
however, in the attempt to cram as much into 7 episodes as they could, they definitely showed us their blind spots, some of which are glaring. the dialogue especially: you can creatively convey that your characters are deeply flawed and edgy without doing lazy pronoun gags, misgendering, and casual racism. they even did the "magical negro" trope to Paul when they could have easily put him back in conversation with Lestat in a different context. plus they absolutely need to understand that the incidence, degree, and type of violence done to Black bodies on screen will not go unnoticed by viewers. yes, even in a show about literal monsters. those are my main DO BETTER notes to the writers, and I empathize with viewers who are frustrated and feel like we should not have to point this out in 2026.
finally, with the caveat that I know they are not doing the show by the book, I'm still utterly baffled by Gabi as the high femme bitch. I enjoy a high femme bitch! especially with those slim cigarettes! but I don't want a high femme bitch as a one-note villain, and I would have dearly loved to see the character who rejected society/material things/gender and fucked off into the woods.
disclaimer: this is how it smells on my skin! perfumes can be wildly different on different people. i will do my best to describe it in full but keep in mind it might smell different on you! anything unofficial is strictly my opinion :)

what it feels like: it’s an october night and you’re in your room. there’s a full moon that you can see from the window. the air outside is crisp. you have a chai latte on your bedside table and incense burning. you’re waiting for someone. a strange soul who will sit near you and touch their fingers to yours. someone who lets you press in close and smell where their neck meets their collarbone. someone gorgeous and slightly dangerous. who must have been an ancient creature in a different life (or this one). who wears moroccan oil in their curls and smokes clove cigarettes. who brings you an old book of poetry from their personal collection. you imagine taking a shower with that person. the smell only becoming magnified, like wet hickory wood chips and herbs. like walking into a crystal shop. and underneath it something animal, skin close, intimate, powerful, entirely heady.
what it smells like: the first thing you smell is incense. at first hints of nag champa then settling into a deep intense dragon’s blood. then comes the sharpness of black pepper and warm spices: cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cardamom. after a few minutes there is a distinct sweetness. a hint of leather, subtle powder, the faintest vanilla, milkiness. like spices toasted and crushed in a mortar and pestle and added to steamed milk to make a spicy, sweet drink that warms your body from the inside. as it fades you’re left with that lingering smell of incense coupled with creamed wildflower honey. an herbal sweetness.
similar perfumes: this is like the nighttime cousin of angels’ share by kilian, also has hints of whisky 1969 by thin wild mercury (which i’ve actually always considered a daniel perfume)
lasting power: this is a perfume oil so it lasts quite a while on the skin. it stays close to the skin, unlike a spray-on perfume that acts like a cloud of scent, this is more intimate. someone would have to be near you to smell it. i put it on this morning and can still smell it after 6 hours. i’ll update this at the end of the day!
*update it’s been 12 hours and i still smell it! (faint but still lovely)

You can have any animal for a pet. Any complications such as “keeping the animal healthy and happy” and “the time and effort it would take to keep happy and healthy pet” and “keeping yourself uneaten” and “the pet I want is kind of extinct” have all been solved perfectly. You don’t have to think of that.
Tori's first setlist in the states has a lot fewer songs than the European shows but knowing her they're probably all like, 7-12 minute arrangments.

no encores, which is interesting because she's also done them. I wonder if American fans are being trained to not ask for them? because a lot of concerts I've been to recently haven't had them. Evanescence didn't.

I ordered the Armand perfume from Black Phoenix Alchemy Labs and this is the email they sent me; I gotta respect how much they're leaning into it. Now I really want to buy a different one to see if it says something different but for $36 a pop I'm gonna have to wait. I can't wait to try out their other perfumes though, not just the Vampire Lestat branded ones; they all sound fucking amazing.
fun fact, before they updated their website earlier this year, it was the shipping notice that was always addressed "beloved." seems like they decided to add it to the order confirmation instead, but it probably won't be different if you order from another perfume collection.
