heyo! i'm cheshire or ches (or birdie, or boo, or anything really)! this blog exists because i got dragged into the dpxdc fandom kicking and screaming, so definitely expect some chaos!

i do take prompts, but keep in mind that i'm currently only doing dp or batfam ones, because they're the characters i know. i'm having fun learning about more characters, but that's all i can do right now :D

dpxdc prompt: ghost boy x alien farm boy

Superman has always been friendly towards the menace known as Phantom. No one is sure how they met, but every once in a while Phantom shows up in Metropolis seemingly just to chat with Superman. Which makes sense, Superman is a great guy that looks for the peaceful solution and Phantom doesn't escalate unless provoked.

Some have tried to interview the hero's odd acquaintance, but even Clark Kent, that guy who interviewed Superman, hasn't managed it yet—though that's mainly because Phantom's visits end up falling on days where he has dates with his boyfriend planned, such bad luck.

It isn't until the Justice League is formed that anyone finds out Superman and Phantom have been in a relationship for years.

prime did not bring back jason intentionally, BUT it is connected to how he punched the walls of reality out of rage that things were not "right". jason's death is a Key Moment for prime thinking that the current post crisis reality was NOT better than pre-crisis and that something is "wrong" with their universe. physically, he could Not have voted to kill jason because he was stuck in the crystal universe when it happened. mentally, he would not have wanted to. Thanks. Bye.

just to clarify we ARE all aware that alfred isnt all that great, right? like we do know hes the major influence and the man that encouraged tim and bruce to victim blame jason, even if he didnt necessarily start it? we remember the way he disrespected and belittled stephanie when she was spoiler and beyond that correct? we havent forgotten the children he led directly into the line of fire and got killed during we are robin? he isnt an angel or the epitome of goodness and wholesome love, he acts with bruces best interests at heart and that alone, at best. theres nuance yeah but we know hes not a god or a guiding light right guys

Correction: he acts with his idea of Bruce’s best interests at heart and if Bruce disagrees then Alfred is perfectly prepared to steamroller all over him because Alfred knows better. And if Bruce’s best interests make Alfred uncomfortable for any reason or have to admit he’s wrong, well, Alfred will go through mental gymnastics to make whatever makes Alfred more comfortable actually be in Bruce’s best interests after all.

I really like stories where Danny has resentment against the Justice League because they didn't do anything to help Amity Park, but I think an AU where he's completely chill about it while they're very much not would be really funny.

Like, imagine that every major ghost attack happens exactly at the same time as world extinction events. Danny has a big fight, goes home, turns on the news and there it is, all hands on deck for major heroes because the universe is in peril.

At some point he just stops checking, he knows the drill, and besides he's handled it anyway. It's all good.

So it really comes as a shock when a hero independently finds out about the GIW and organises a JL intervention. They come to Amity Park and they really don't get why the local teenage hero gives them a thumbs up and tells not to worry, he can handle being dehumanised and hunted for experimentation.
