This is an advanced sewing project from EvaDress. The Bat Dress was inspired by the illustration Travestissement Chauve-Sourisin in La mode Illustrée, Journal de la Famille,1887 below.

The dress comes in the following sizes:

Size set A: 33" to 39" bust, 22" to 28" waist, 33" to 37" hip

Size set B: 41" to 45" bust, 28" to 34" waist, 39" to 43" hip

#normal people doing normal things in extraordinary circumstances; who just happen to save the world#that’s what i want again#not some impossible paradox wrapped in riddles and enigma and topped off with a spunky bow#no one can aspire to be a paradox#but perhaps you are reasonably good at gymnastics#or you play an instrument#or are especially observant#these incredibly human actions aren’t worthless - you might just end up saving the universe using them

Harassing a guy who’d done nothing to deserve it by adding explicit sexual content to his posts was bad enough, but then people started spreading rumors about how he was “creepy” for having a bunch of teenage fans (he’s a YA author, what a surprise), then pretty much outright accused him of being a sexual predator based on absolutely no evidence, and had the gall to be offended when he understandably got angry about this.

And then he left the site, because… well, who wouldn’t, after all of that?

*make literal websites that are nothing but a page with numbers counting down the years, months, weeks, days, hours, seconds, until an actress/model/singer turns 18…*

*…then instantly start making vile, graphic comments detailing all the sexual things they want to do to her, as if they weren’t saying those things already*

*vehemently defend men like Drake for grooming and preying on underage girls*

*treat dating older women as a fetish/weird kink/taboo, but find it completely normal when grown ass men date girls over ten years younger than them*

*call underage girls “jailbait” to deflect all blame off men onto the girls*

*desperately defend themselves by insisting men have evolved to be biologically attracted to young, hairless women because youth=fertility, despite the fact that only prepubescent girls are hairless, meaning hairless=not yet capable of becoming pregnant. Not to mention the fact that one of the leading causes of death (maybe THE leading cause of death, though I can’t remember the specifics) of girls age 15-19 is childbirth, meaning young girls are clearly NOT meant to have children*

Me at 14: oh protagonists that are 17-20-ish, they’re basically adults, right?

Marnie in Halloweentown: I’m thirteen, okay? I’m practically grown up! I’m certainly old enough to make my own choices – right?
