microdosing on self love by projecting my insecurities onto fictional characters and loving them

I don’t think you understand how obsessed I am with the way Taylor is rolling out her rerecorded albums. Not only is she giving each one it’s own unique release/promo/merch BUT like the way she’s just so fully embracing her past self and the emotions and headspace she was at when she wrote the albums. It would be so easy to look back and be like “oh hahah I use to be SO dramatic” and she’s NOT and it really brings home why she’s doing this in the first place. Not for the money, not just for paving the way as an example in the music industry, not even just for the fans (although that is a big part of it too). She’s doing it for her teenage self who wrote love songs about the boys she was crushing on in high school. She’s doing it for her 21 year old self who dealt with an absolutely heartbreaking relationship who wrote some of her most memorable and emotional songs in her discography. She’s doing it for her past self and we aren’t giving her nearly as much credit for what an amazing job she’s doing

If it’s Dylan and Sadie being baby Taylor and Jake and Taylor being adult Taylor still remembering it all too well … I’m going to have a mental break down

When you put it like this, you can see the amount of superior albums and songs Taylor has created over the decade & it's incredible ❤️
