All credit to @weik-rick for bringing my silly idea to life in such a vibrant way!

It started when I was thinking about what some interesting cross-AU matchups could for the more underrated characters I know, and Inverted Fate's Mad Mew Mew felt like a great candidate because she's practically part of the main cast, which is rare for her. I really like how she gets to be a full-metal killer robot while keeping the girliness.

Cross/Chara (UV Season 1, to be specific) was chosen both because he's cool and because the fact that he's a SOUL fusion facing a Mew Mew who abuses the ability to split fused SOULs in two would make for some pretty interesting fight dynamics, especially given how important the fused SOUL is to the two of them. The sheer tonal difference between the two fighters is another plus for me.

The reference photo used for this was the cover for Volume 2 of the Kagurabachi manga, since the posing and composition felt perfect for these two characters.

I would imagine that my Dess would revel in the fact there's an apocalypse at first, taking it as an opportunity to try and get her revolutionary ideas off the ground. Of course, once she figured out saving the world would likely mean killing her sister in the process, she becomes decidedly less excited about prospects. Especially if Azzy/Addy already succumbed to snowblindness, I could very much see her descend into a depressed state after that revelation and possibly give into the snowblindness herself (that is, unless Susie keeps her from doing so).
