re: NHL. florida panthers (currently going through divorce proceedings with them) & pittsburgh penguins have the strongest hold on my heart. tired of pretending i care about blorbos across the league; instead, i play heavy favorites (& allow them to break my heart repeatedly). particularly attached to goalies and old men; if one is both, the chance of them being a fave is high. a special shoutout to sergei bobrovsky & pittsburgh's core four.

re: SM liiga. i'm an unabashed fan of my red clowns, my darling cringefails, my ultimate team across all leagues, hifk. have a mild fondness of tappara because apparently i enjoy rooting for teams hated by most. nevertheless, the practice of having favorite children applies here too, with the criteria remaining the same. a special shoutout to niko hovinen, hugo alnefelt, christian heljanko, and joachim blichfeld.
