I think I would definitely feel that instinctive human fear at a hyper realistic sun and moon animatronic, even after having known them from the games now lol

I think what made it easier for me was that I labeled my stories as #dca anecdotes and it gave me more freedom to make comics and post musings about life at the daycare rather than following with arcs. And with quality control, it will always change no matter what the longer you work on a project. Like when you look at serial comics or a musician’s discography, the style changes from the first debut to the current. But people stick around anyway cuz they enjoy the ride!

What if someone were to express their jealousy towards Sun and Moon? Like, "Oh I wish I was an animatronic too," with reasons like always having a set routine, no need to eat nor excrete, and the knowing that you have a set purpose.

I've hthoigjt about this wayyy too much.

In my personal opinion, I think Sun and Moon would be shocked that a human is sharing such a thought in the first place. Many of us don't like to openly acknowledge such ugly emotions, like jealousy, envy, and pride. Sun might be a little offended really- he's lived firsthand as an animatronic after all lol. Humans get to experience the outside world, live freely, and love one another as much as they want (at least in theory)

Maybe Moon wouldn't be interested in having such a discussion at all? I dont think he's completely contented with the daycare, but he wouldn't desire to sightsee as much as Sun would, other than seeing the actual moon. But at the same time, its all he's ever known, and he knows its not possible for him to truly wrap his head around the human experience. And vice versa- a human couldn't ever fully understand an animatronic

I had to really ponder this cuz every time I typed something I realized that you’ve already said it 🫪 but you’ve hit the nail on the head for the most part. It reminds me of that Futurama episode where bender becomes human and abuses his body unknowingly LOL

I think they definitely would feel offended to hear a human say that cuz that really is a blessing to have the ability to go anywhere you want and do as you please. But I don’t think that they (especially Sun) are considering the limitations that comes with it like participating in society and upholding that … sun wants to be free but not like homosapien free. Maybe more like “tourist” free if he could

I always felt like moon was a silent observer, and he can be curious and chip in his 2 cents but can’t be bothered about it. He’s accepted his fate, and in doing so he embraces his weirdo self. He kind of doesn’t have a choice since some adults and children are already off-putted just by his looks, so he’s just playing the part, like self-fulfilling prophecy. I guess that’s kind of sad too, cuz maybe he wishes he could rewrite himself and he envies that humans could redefine themselves so freely. He may act more nonchalant than what he lets on, but Moon has always been a quiet sensitive child in my mind
