Vulcans get Weird when separated from other Vulcans, this is established; quite likely moreso than humans (another social species) because of their telepathy; it's been stated they have a subtle bond to *every other Vulcan* such as when Spock could feel hundreds of them dying at once. They have to return home or at least have contact (cough. Fuck) with their mate every seven years or they will literally keel over and die. Being Alone has to be really psychologically/possibly physiologically Weird For Tuvok. Not enough to hang out with Vorik though
