To me that was perfection
I started watching The Boys for Jack Quaid, and also for the brutal murders (I won't lie)
I had zero expectations, tbh having Jack Quaid as a cast member was the only hope I had on the series...
But just one episode into it and I knew, I'm gonna love it... "This is definitely something for me!!!" Cz of the real life issues they creatively Integrated in the show. It could be intentional or unintentional, i don't mind. The values in it aligned with me and that's it I was hooked!!!
But season after season, i always dreaded if that values were going to go away or the story might deteriorate...
The writers are genuises!!! The quality was top-notch and only grew for each season...
The ending was all I wanted to see! A clean, clear, strong Justice!
Homelander is one of the best villains of all time but he still is a villain and that was exactly the ending he deserved!!!! No villain glorification!!!!
The Best Series of The Era!!!!!
Again so grateful for the writers for all the wonderful women characters!!!!
What I love the most about The Boys are The Girls!
I have said it before and I'll said it again, The Boys is the most feminist show I have watched in recent days!
I loved how Starlight Carried Hughie out of danger!
I loved how Frenchie gave his life for Kimiko! These are healthy masculinity! It was so refreshing to see women being the superheroes!!!
Missed Queen Maeve but I felt her plot came to an end and I was glad they didn't bring her back!
Gonna miss these superheroes!!!!
Let's start with Hughie, it all started because of Jack and honestly there is no one movie or series where he had ever disappointed me so I watched knowing however the series might be, this guy won't let me down! And He didn't!
Hughie had no superpower and that was his superpower! He wasn't perfect, he did had issues of handling his gf having powers and stuff but his character arc was beautiful! It beautifully defined masculinity!!!
Now that, there is no more lower decks and no more The Boys, I'm gonna miss him so much
Ok now lets talk about Frenchie! I knew that was coming but it wasn't easy. He was too pure for the world of The Boys! Frenchie is not someone you will like at first sight but definitely will fall in love, after knowing him. Again he didn't had any superpowers but he didn't need one! He was kind, he was emphathetic, he was super intelligent, he was resilient and he was hopeful.
If anything that saved the boys, it was his hope and his love for Kimiko!
My love for these 2 is unconditional abd everlasting
