What is your favourite klamille scene and why? Which do you think is the most powerful/significant/best shows their dynamic/chemistry?
Oh boy, this is a hard one. I guess if I was being objective, trying to pick out the definitive moment, it’d have to be this:
Just because it’s the scene that tells you just how powerful their connection is. Cami, in all her overthinking, tries to downplay her significance in his life by saying it could have been anyone if the circumstances were slightly altered. And Klaus’ shutdown of that is the most breathtaking response you could hope for. I mean, he lists every early encounter they had (including a deleted scene for us hardcores), and pretty much is like, nope, the stars were aligned. We were meant to be. I would have found you.
The fact that he has lived for over a thousand years and believes he was destined for this one girl is just…wow. And it’s not like Klaus hasn’t lived, hasn’t loved, hasn’t felt attractions. He has all this experience under his belt and knows Cami is on another level. It’s just a really powerful scene. You don’t get this kind of content in most love stories. Not even the supernatural type.
I’m not the kind of person who immediately says “soulmates!” just because I like a love story, but this show flat out said they were soulmates. And that’s a beautiful thing. It’s why so many ckers have it at the top of their list, because it’s more powerful than any first kiss or “I love you” could ever be. This is about something bigger than most could fathom.
In terms of their best chemistry, I personally feel like season 3 was them at their best. They really found their groover plus they had so much angst to work with. It’s hard to pick just one scene, but I always fall back to
There was such a raw, hungry, sexual tone to this scene. Their eyes told a thousand stories and the heat radiating off the screen still gets to me every single time.
It was this needy sexual energy that I haven’t seen in quite a while. I feel like if it had led into a sex scene I would have made a fool of myself. But on the flip side, it’s sexual tension not acted on, so it makes the scene even tenser (and frustrating). Plus I would have needed the HBO version. Not CW.
I could sit here and list scenes all day. The great thing about klamille is they have scenes displaying different types of chemistry. There’s the sexual chemistry, the playful chemistry, the wholesome chemistry, the acting chemistry. They had it all.
