“I think it’s a good look on you, Katsuki.” Shoto huffed, obviously amused by his own antics. With each passing second his smirk seemed to get wider. His eyes had a mischievous glow about them as he added, “You look like a beautiful fairy princess.”

Katsuki stepped closer to him and growled, “I’ll make you fucking regret that. I’ll kill you.”

“Go ahead, if you’ve got the balls.” Shoto tilted his head slightly, as if he was going to lean in for a kiss, but he didn’t. He continued to smile as he watched the conflict in the red eyes before himself that shifted from his eyes to his inviting smile.

“Uhh, do we get any say in this?” Hitoshi asked loudly enough for the pair to hear. He glanced at Izuku then looked back at the pair and added, “I, for one, enjoy Shoto being alive.”

“Me too!” Izuku chirped in agreement.

The redhead chuckled nervously before returning to his desk. “Sorry sensei.”

“The competition starts after class,” Bakugou stated.

“This time, I’ll definitely win.”

Hitoshi was meticulous in his measurements as he added the last few ingredients he needed to his potion. He’d been toying with this idea in his head ever since he’d summoned his familiar, and something told him that now was the time to finally act upon it. He stirred the mixture and glanced over at his cat. The silly thing was asleep again without a care in the world. Some familiar he’d summoned.

He’d been mocked in the witch community when word had gotten out about the fact that he’d managed to summon a demon that didn’t act like it should. It didn’t seem to know how to use its abilities, even though Hitoshi could sense tremendous power within it. He could only blame himself for the summoning failure since it was his first attempt at such a thing. That meant the cat was his responsibility, and Hitoshi refused to abandon it like so many others had suggested.

Great, he was a man of high morals. Now all he needed to do was find a way to get the thing to obey him instead of ignoring his commands.

With one final stir, the potion was complete. He’d always excelled in potion making so he was sure that this would work on the first try…

Summary: Toshinori left with the rest of their teachers, giving the other two the name of the bar they were heading to. Once it was just the two thirty-year olds alone in the lounge, Yamada pulled out the swivel chair next to Aizawa and sat down, spinning in circles. A vein appeared on Aizawa’s forehead but he restrained himself from kicking the other teacher off.

“You’re annoying.”

Aizawa pulled his mug away from his lips and turned to the other man in surprise. “I’m annoying?”

Yamada stopped spinning, his knees pulled up to his chest, and a face devoid of his usually giant smile. Even after spending fifteen years together, his face just didn’t seem right without one. “Do you have any idea how worried I get when you’re in the thick of things? First USJ, then the summer training camp, and now that raid mission! You almost got killed twice and kidnapped a third time!”

Aizawa had no idea he’d worried the other man so much. “I’m fine.”

“That’s what you said back then too,” Yamada remarked.

Denki hissed softly to himself then placed his hand on his neck. There was a sharp pain right at the base of the right side where it met his shoulder. If he didn’t know any better, he’d swear he felt the grooves of teeth marks. He pulled his hand away from the spot and his eyes widened when he saw blood. He immediately understood the situation for what it was and could hardly believe it. His eyes were wild as he stomped up to the red-haired werewolf and shrieked, “You marked me? That’s so barbaric!”

“You’re no better, buddy!” Eijiro yelled right back. Sure, the vampire had a bite mark on his neck, but he also had a line of dried blood down the side of his mouth that signaled he had fed recently. The dull ache in his neck suddenly made lots of sense and Eijiro didn’t need to put his hand upon the mark to know that it was from puncture wounds.

(Or, the story of a confused werewolf and an equally confused vampire that wake up in a room together with both memory and blood loss…)

Summary: Toshinori finished off the rest of his crepe. “What about you? What do you do for work?”

Just a month or two ago, Inko would’ve considered herself a full-time mother, living off the alimony from her ex-husband living abroad. But now that Midoriya was on campus all the time, she mostly kept herself busy with housework. She must’ve mopped the floors and dusted the shelves at least twenty times in one week. She also tried to stay out of her son’s room. The emptiness was sometimes too hard to bear.

“I don’t do much,” said Inko, a hand on her cheek. “Until recently, my whole life revolved around Izuku.”

Toshinori nodded. “You’re a devoted mother. Where is his father?”

“We separated because of work,” Inko replied. “But he continues to provide for us financially and we remain good friends. Although… I don’t think Izuku knows much about Hisashi. I don’t think I’ve ever spoken to him about his father… though he’s never asked either.”

“I see.”

Excerpt:

Kyoka saw the momentary fear that flashed in Momo’s eyes when the black-haired woman felt the cold steel of the dagger pressed against her throat. She couldn’t help but smirk at the sight. This was one of, if not the best hitwoman in the past decade and she’d bested her with barely any effort. A sense of accomplishment washed over her like nothing else ever had.

The fear that had flashed in Momo’s eyes was gone as quickly as it appeared, replaced by something confident instead. She had a serious expression on her face as she asked, “Finally showing your true colors, huh?”

“You knew?” Kyoka asked as her eyes widened.

“Of course I did.” Momo replied without hesitation. She took Kyoka’s momentary shock to her advantage and the second that she felt her let up on the pressure of the blade against her throat she flipped their positions. She looked down at the purple haired woman as she held her own dagger against her throat and added, “I may be retired now but I’m no slouch. There’s a reason I was the best.”

Ochaco looked up at the sound of the unfamiliar voice. She looked all around herself and saw no one. She scrunched her face then asked, “Who’s there?”

“Down here.”

Ochaco looked down as requested and saw a dark green frog looking up at her. Surely that wasn’t the one who- her train of thought was completely derailed when the frog waved. She’d never heard of a frog that could talk before, never mind wave. What a curious thing! Ochaco didn’t let herself get distracted however, and she asked, “What do you mean all is not lost?”

“I could get the ball for you, if you’d like.” The frog croaked in response.

Summary: “Let’s get going,” Midoriya smiled.

“Isn’t it a little late to go to a theme park?” Todoroki asked.

“Yeah but there are less people on weekdays,” said Midoriya, “plus, the fireworks are amazing!”

Todoroki rarely smiled but the way the corners of Midoriya’s mouth upturned was infectious and made it hard for Todoroki not to mimic the expression. At least to some extent. He still had trouble trying to make an open-mouthed smile as wide and bright as Midoriya’s but apparently, Midoriya liked the way he did it naturally.

“I’ve never actually been to an amusement park with a friend before,” Todoroki admitted when they arrived.

“Really?” Midoriya blinked, before turning away and awkwardly scratching the side of his face. “Ah… well I guess I haven’t either.” If he ever went out before high school, it was always either alone or with his mother. “But I guess that means we can experience this together!”
