Elsa Dahl! My beloved counterpart to Astrid. Elsa is the gloomy one. She's the dark cloud to Astrid's sun. If it's not clear, I ship these two ladies. I ship them hard.

Elsa was, unfortunately, the firstborn of Lars Dahl. She never knew her mother, as soon after giving birth, Hilda Dahl perished in a severe house fire. It's not suspicious when it happens once, but when Elsa's sister Thea was born, the same tragic circumstance occurred once more. At this point, the people in Undredal, Norway, were getting PRETTY suspicious. Lars ended up moving himself and his two young daughters to Ephraim, Wisconsin to escape possible law enforcement. However, old habits die hard. Lars killed his third child's mother in the same fashion. This time, though... A little girl sent in a tip to the authorities. Before Lars could be arrested, he mysteriously perished in a house fire, and his three children were sent to foster care.

No one really wanted the Dahl kids. Elsa was mean and standoffish, untrusting and argumentative. Thea and Vilhelm were both just flat out freaky. And to be fair, none of them have really changed that much.

When Elsa was 18, she became her siblings' legal guardians and paraded the ragged bunch to a homeless shelter.

Once the Swarm hit, Elsa took her siblings and escaped -- though she did try to ditch them. Several times. She doesn't "like" her siblings. But they eventually came to HQ and settled there.

Elsa hates people and she hates being bothered by people. She keeps to herself and to her cigarettes, using cruelty to retain her constant state of me-time. She loves plants and animals, though, and often tends to the indoor garden when no one else is around.

Tuva Olsen, my poor underdrawn child. Tuva was mainly utilized back in the day to serve as surrogate NorPan. She and her girlfriend, Kiyohi, were my and Mel's fix. And they're surrogate NorPan, because their respective parents were originally Hetalia's Norway and Japan. But let's talk less about that...

Tuva was a fragile child. She was hypersensitive to pretty much everything, and breaking down in sobs was a near hourly occurrence. However, as she got older, sensitivity turned into apparent Apathy. She rarely smiled, let alone cried. The switch was baffling to her father and siblings, but despite seeming to lose interest in everything she was actually quite happy. It was just something that sort of... happened. She loves taking walks in nature, collecting rocks and assorted garbage that she finds interesting, and her rabbit plushie. When the Swarm hit, Tuva was the first line of offense as the only member of the family who knew how to use their father's handgun. She loved training with it, it gave her a rush. Unfortunately, while defending her family, she suffered an eye injury from one of the creatures. She recovered at HQ, but has to relearn how to use her chosen weapon.

Tuva is a blunt girl. She does not sugarcoat, and she does not hide her biases. She doesn't intend to, but she can often be seen as rude or insensitive. She despises cruel people, which is funny considering Astrid is trying desperately to date one, and will not hesitate to enact violence upon them.

Tuva is a 17 year old lesbian whom I have sorely neglected. Im sorry Tuva, I swear I'll draw you more someday.

Astrid Olsen is my golden girl, my sunshine. She was originally created as a Hetalia OC (if you don't know what Hetalia is... Good? But it's going to come up again. A lot. So, basically, it's a manga/anime about countries being personified. It's... pretty infamous, to say the least, and I was a huge fan of it 4 years ago. Still stuck with me, can't get rid of it, and here's Astrid.) Astrid at first represented Utøya Island, which is the site of a horrible massacre in Norway. Now that I am less insensitive and insane, she's just a regular old girl. She was born in Lillehammer, Norway and lived there with her father and two siblings for pretty much her entire life. Then, after she graduated secondary school, her father moved them all to Maine. In the following summer, the Swarm hit. The Swarm is when thousands of alien creatures invaded earth and completely upturned everything. They are not intelligent life, and act much like zombies- seeking only to destroy. Astrid's father died, and she escaped with her siblings. Eventually the trio found their way to a secluded base in a forest, run by an apocalypse-obsessed man named Baen. Astrid lives in HQ now and does everything she can to help the survivors that live there with her. She is insanely trusting, stupid patient, and full of probably too much love. She doesn't want anyone to ever feel unwanted, and she would give up her life to protect those around her.
