There are some lists like this out there, but none were quite what I had in mind, which was mods that make sims more of a danger to each other, rather than a more dangerous environment or being a danger to themselves.
Kill Visiting Playables - Playable sims can die as visitors to another household
Disease Mod - Recovery points (how fast a sim recovers from disease) are easier for sims to lose and more challenging to accumulate; The "Advanced" version of the mod enables the gain/loss of recovery points and disease markers (left on the tile where a sim expressed a symptom that can infect other sims) to also happen on community lots, instead of only the sim's home lot
Frequent Disease Processing - Severity of disease changes every single cycle (~1 hour) instead of every six cycles (~9 hours)
Deadly Zombies - New zombie interaction "Eat" where if they win the fight, the other sim dies and their hunger is filled
Deadly Werewolves - New werewolf interaction "Ravage" where if they win the fight, the other sim dies and their hunger is filled
Deadly Neck Bite - New vampire interaction "Deadly Neck Bite" where the other sim dies after being bitten and their hunger is filled
Thunderbolt - Either the original PandoraSims version (in the "spells_full" zip folder) or the version edited by MidgeTheTree (requires Midge's main "witchspellsmod" file); New evil witch spell "Thunderbolt" that kills the targeted sim with a lightning strike
NOTE: You have to edit the ingredients BCON in the mod package via SimPE to adjust the amount of required reagents for casting the spell, otherwise the spell needs 12 Viper Essence, 12 Eye of Newt, 12 Dragon Scales, and 12 Mystic Dust
Crate of Throwing Axes - Exactly what it sounds like; Choose a target sim, and they get an axe in the head (and death). Buyable object under Misc. > Misc.

Just found out that the the main reason all the lots I have that use the hedges from the base game almost always slow to a crawl is because a one-tile object meant to be used many times has a texture size of 512x512.
(for context: it’s the same texture size you use for your sims’ face textures and road textures. NOT for one-tile objects like plants).
To reduce the texture load, I reduced the texture size to 256x256 and threw in a “more yellow” version meant for use with yellowish grass replacements like @simnopke’s Not So Dull Grass or Voeille’s grass replacements.
UPDATE 08/17/2021: I added in @jodeliejodelie‘s version of the hedges in and took down the “-moreyellow” versions because i discovered that they’re essentially the same XD.
There are also versions for those who use Voeille’s Plant Fixes. Choose only one version.
This should affect both the tall and short hedges from the base game as they use the same textures. UPDATE 08/17/2021: also included the reduced texture versions of the MaxoidMonkey topiaries. Choose only one version.

I thought I would add a cemetery since there are a lot of tombstones. Sometimes people don't want the ghosts haunting their Sims, so I made a cemetery. Placement is a suggestion only.

Douglasville 1.1 - Arizona neighborhood with pulp storyline for The Sims 2!
Douglasville is a TS2 almost-cc-free neighborhood based on the Spanish videogame Runaway: A Road Adventure.
This neighborhood is set in the fictional region of the Simrizona Desert and it features: beautiful canyon landscapes, a colorful bunch of characters with unique stories and personalities, a treasure hunt, lots inspired by Mexican and Western false front architecture!

Douglasville allows players to let their creativity loose as they decide the paths of the strange characters who inhabit this land: you will have to make choices, pick a side and let the other sink in this greedy treasure hunt who will probably end up in a few casualties. This neighborhood can be a great start for a Build a City Challenge with a few adjustments, or you can keep Douglasville as it is: a small, dilapidated ghost town for the lonely wolves. Speaking of wolves, be careful because you will find a pack of mexican wolves hunting around the area! The main features of Douglasville are:
◉ A desertic neighborhood decorated with the amazingly beautiful Canyon Pack by Kridershot. Enjoy these ARIZONA-INSPIRED LANDSCAPES, if you can fight the heat and the hungry wolves!
◉ 7 HOUSEHOLDS + 2 SIMS IN THE BIN, all characterized by unique backgrounds and, sometimes, featuring storytelling props in their inventories to help you get involved with their stories.
◉ A TREASURE HUNT! The terrible thugs Gustav and Feodor are searching for the Hopi treasure and they have reason to believe Gina Timmins knows something about it. Who will get their greedy hands on the treasure first?
◉ Lots were built in MEXICAN AND WESTERN-FALSE-FRONT STYLES to correctly convey the atmosphere of the United States' South West area. The hood features ONE STARTER HOME to help you include your own sims in the run for the treasure!
Before downloading, I need to give you some warnings:
⚠ This neighborhood includes references to an existing indigenous tribe from North America: the Hopi Tribe. This is directly taken from the videogame Runaway and it's something I decided to keep. I am not Hopi, so my knowledge is limited, and I did what I could with no custom content. It's important for me to specify that I don't want this neighborhood to disrespect native American tribes in any way.
⚠ There are three drag queens living in Douglasville. To keep custom content to a minimum, I decided to create them as women and change their gender behaviour through SimPE (they have male voices, will pee standing and sexually reproduce as men). If you want to be more realistic, you can change their gender to male and dress them up with custom clothes.
⚠ You need a CAMERA MOD. The neighborhood is big and there are lots on the borders of the map, so without a camera mod you would not be able to play the hood as intended.

“DGVL” is the neighborhood folder and it must be extracted in Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Neighborhoods.
“Douglasville_CC” is the folder containing a small amount of CC required for the neighborhood to appear as intended. It must be extracted in Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Downloads. Everything has been sorted in labelled folders to help you organize your cc.

Slightly more magical looking TS2 potions. I mean, these glow in the dark, so you know it is magic or radioactivity
New looks for the Vamprocillin, Lycanthropic, Witchbegone and Love potion. And also a default for Enchanted Essence of Cur Tails & Magically Spiced Sugar (aka Niceness / Meanness potions).
I've thrown my blue replacement for Elixir of Life (liquid and glass) into the mix. Unlike the rest, it's TXMT-only, so it's super tiny.

ReNuYu Porta-Chug aka New You Potion - Default

* This default is a clone, contains all resources plus mesh & texture.
* It is not compatible with mods that make ReNuYu show in Buymode catalogue, so I've updated the archive - now it contains a buyable version.
Two shapes to choose from.
If you use my Vamprocillin default, you may have noticed it also replaces ReNuYu bottle. That's because this one is unlike other potions - doesn't have its own model, just borrows it from vampire cure. This default fixes that.
Pictures are unedited, what you see is what you get. It may have turned out too green, but this is the fifth (!) version so I’ll just leave it as it is.

Important: this is incompatible with maxis roads (because of the grass on the maxis sidewalks) so you have to use any of the many existing road defaults with overlays (I am using this one)
edit: Antoninko made maxis road with this grass for anyone who loves maxis roads, but wants to use my lush default
Texture sizes are 1024x1024, except for the lot texture detail which is 512x512
Credits: thanks to Curiousb for their files I used as a base. I also blended “dry” textures from their default just a tiny bit for the details in nhood view.
New Hair System “Hard MM” Hair Dump [DOWNLOAD ALL | SFS Folder]
Forgive the basic preview but here’s a dump of 30+ “Hard MM” hairs from various creators in @mikexx2‘s New Hair System. A few of the male hairs are done by @y2sims (who gave me the green light to share the retextures she has to round up the set).
Some were recolored from either the original textures or @deedee-sims’s retextures, while others were copypasted from defaults I or @spookymuffinsims have already done. Some hairs are also decustomized to certain EPs.
I mostly used other peoples’ packages to save time. The creator name at the beginning signifies who owns which packages.
This is the lot I’ve made for the @build-a-hood project! It’s an apartment complex with 6 units, all are studio sized with room for a double bed.
Here’s the 6th unit since Tumblr wouldn’t let me add it to the photoset:
The common area has a lobby-like building, for get-togethers with the whole complex. Outside is a grill & bar, more gathering spots to really make a community out of the apartment!
Each unit is decorated with a different “personality” in mind - Artist, Romance sim, jock, nerd, etc. They even have unique objects on their “deck” space to match!
Don’t forget to turn on TestingCheats then Shift+Click the apartment door if you want your sims to rent the units fully furnished.

I know a lot of LGBT+ people who like to play the sims. I myself am trans and play the sims 2 practically all the time it’s a problem tbh. But I love to play with trans sims! Trans sims are fun. But Maxis made it difficult to play with trans sims in the Sims 2. Fear not: modders all over the sims 2 community have made bunches of mods for the cool trans sims! I have compiled the ones I regularily use and recommend here.
