and I realized that this is the first ever instance of them holding hands in general. this game came out about 8 months before The Doonkelberry Imperative which is the first time they hold hands in the show

what did the game developers know…

I just want to know how they came up with the idea for them to hold hands in the game in general. because the way it turned out is very funny. like it already adds nothing to the gameplay but they REALLY focus on it for a while. they have them holding hands and gazing into each other’s eyes at the beginning of the haunted dimension levels (the above pics) and then when all those are finished they’re still doing it

they hold hands throughout this entire cutscene and then when the 3 kids leave they just zoom in on them for a few seconds
