Emitted as a sweet scent that triggers arousal in anyone who smells it.

Rumi can control this, but learning to do so is a process. She didn't even know it was a thing until she accidentally released them around Mira and Zoey and found herself very confused as to why her previously sleeping girlfriends were suddenly desperate to go at it at 3am.

Once she gets the hang of it, she can usually prevent herself from releasing pheromones accidentally, though it will sometimes happen if she's already extremely aroused. She has permission to play around with it on off-days, and accidents are considered an occupational hazard that Zoey and Mira readily accept.

She can also control the intensity at which she releases her pheromones. They can range from making Zoey and Mira a little excited to needy and desperate.

At higher intensities, in addition to triggering arousal, the pheromones also make people more submissive. Zoey is SUPER into this and Mira gets off on trying to resist it for as long as she can.

They have a pretty in-depth consent discussion regarding the pheromones, because at the highest intensity Zoey and Mira can lose themselves to the effects. They get so deep under it that they're essentially hypnotized. Generally, they're okay with being surprised by Rumi's pheromones because they retain their ability to revoke their consent whenever they want, but not at that point. If Rumi wants to go that far, she has to ask every time. Fortunately, it would be near-impossible for her to release that level of pheromones accidentally, so they don't have to worry too much.

They don't do this super often because the duration of the effects is dependent on the intensity, so something like this would have Zoey and Mira out of it for the majority of a day.

That said, it does have a fun place in their sex lives. If they're on hiatus, they'll do this maybe once a month.

This is how Rumi gets comfortable topping. The sight of her girls kneeling and drooling for her is like catnip.

Looooots of aftercare on those days, though. They'll gladly go until they drop from exhaustion so it's up to Rumi to manage their needs, make sure they stop when they should, and get them cleaned up, hydrated, and comfy afterward.

Heat:

Rumi has an estrus cycle rather than a menstrual cycle. No periods, but for about a week every September/October she enters heat and becomes very wrapped up in demonic instincts.

Turns her room into a den, refuses to leave, and guards it jealousy. Only her mates may enter, and only if they bring an offering like food or something cozy for her nest.

Very animalistic during this time. She probably can speak, but primarily communicates through growls and mewls instead.

Her mating instinct only kicks in when she feels safe and comfortable. Often, she'll spend a few days letting Zoey and Mira dote on her before she's open to any sexual activity.

The pheromones she releases during heat are different from the ones she releases otherwise. They're relatively gentle, and don't induce submission. They fill Zoey and Mira with an intense urge to look after her, though it's highly unnecessary, since they're happy to do so regardless.

Pillow princess for the entire heat. She expects her mates to take care of her. When she’s ready to mate, she’ll often just open her legs and mewl with a bratty air of “sure, you can touch me if you want I guess”. When it gets more intense she insistently presents herself and growls for attention.

She can't be alone for too long or she'll start wailing at the top of her lungs. They all figure it's supposed to be a mating call of some kind, but it really sounds like she's crying or screaming, so it scares the shit out of Zoey and Mira before they get used to it.

Before going into heat, she gets very cagey and spacey, so Zoey and Mira can usually tell when it’s happening and get some stuff prepared. As she goes back to normal, she also tends to be a bit dazed and out of it for a day or two and spends a lot of time sleeping.
