Shit
Lunick can say with confidence that it's not often that his throws go rogue. Football is not baseball -- it's not a little ball, you don't have to try to put five different types of spin on it, and when you throw with full power, as long as you release at the right time, it'll probably go at least where you kind of want it.
So he's surprised, to say the least, when they are practicing full power throws (which of course he's fairly adept at -- he's the quarterback for a reason), and one of his goes particularly out of the way. In fact, it heads for the cheerleaders, which is one group of people he doesn't want to hit, and doesn't want to get angry with him (not like he cares if people dislike him, it's really just because it's too much of a hassle to argue).
And worse yet, it's heading straight for Damion's ex-girlfriend, and oh no, this is very bad. If he hurts her, Damion will never let him hear the end of it, and that is an annoyance he just doesn't want to deal with.
"Hey," He yells, running over, even though he knows he won't make it in time. "Look out!"
