Guess who's back, back again
Shady's back, tell a friend
punkroxie replied to your post: #gold
[crumples up the photo and sticks it in her mouth before spitting it back at him] Happy v-day, idiot. Hope you get some v for once.
“Wow,” he wipes a bit of splatter off his face and tosses the wad in a nearby trashcan with some sort of wonderfully slacker precision. You can tell he’s aces at trashcan hoops.
“If ya wanted me in yer mouth, ya could’ve just said so.” His tone isn’t flirty at all, and he bats his eyes down at her, tugging his hat on a bit tighter with a light inhale through the nostrils.
“Happy Valentine’s to you too, Ms. Punk-Rock.”
"Tch, you wish," she spats with a roll of her eyes. Yeah, so he was pretty damn good at kissing for that spin the bottle thing, but that didn't mean he was getting anything else out of her. Not a asshat like him, at least. Roxie holds up a v symbol to her mouth and sticks out her tongue. Man, she's grumpy.
With that, she just walks away, waving to him and shouting something as she does so, "Thanks for the nickname at least, Mr. Arrogant!"
[Pathetic consumerist holidays make me want to vomit]
You hear something coming down the hallway.
At first it sounds like the stomping of boots but upon further listening, you realize it is something far sinister..
tsun tsun tsun tsun
far for hardened..
tsun tsun tsun tsun
and far more sexually frustrated than simply the stomping of boots.
It's a tsundere Roxie, and it's her least favorite day of the year. Face in a harsher scowl than usual, her arms are crossed and she was bulling down the hallway in a straight line towards the cafeteria. She knew there was hardly any avoiding the Valentine's Day "cheer," and she planned to simply grab her food and go back to her dorm without any complications. Hopefully no one would decide to spread any of this so-called cheer to her on such a pathetic consumerist holiday.

Sweet! Think on it.
Hey, I heard you were the musical type! That’s so exciting! I play guitar. [She grins coyly.] Anyway, I was just askin’ since I thought… well, if we’re (possibly) gonna throw a party, we’d certainly have to have better music than the school.
--!!
[You've just successfully gained Roxie's full attention.]
Yeah, yeah... [Nodding and agreeing with statements about the party] Ya play guitar though? Huh. What kind of stuff do you play?
[Rumpus]
School was out and it was practice time for Roxie. Locking herself in her dorm room, she plugged her guitar into her personal Marshall amp and fiddled with the knobs until she got them to her favorite settings. The feed back screeched slightly as she did so, and she shuffled away from the amp so that it would stop.
...
Good enough.
Taking out her notebook full of scribbles and notes for her songs, she took a peak at them before trying out some chords. Her fingers moved swiftly across the strings, comfortable enough with her power chords to chunk out a tune with an occasional arpeggiated chords for flare. Things sounded good... though they were probably a little too loud for the neighboring dorm rooms. After all, Roxie had little regard for the fact that this was a common study time, and was probably disturbing half of the girl's dormitory with her own brand of studying.
[Group Project]
Lunick’s eyes widen for a moment before he looks away. He can’t believe Roxie was actually paying attention in class. It seemed to him like she was just messing around all the time… He thought he was going to spend this whole time explaining everything they had gone over. This was… quite the surprise (a pleasant one, but still a surprise nonetheless).
The senior looks over the page carefully, nodding along with what she is saying. Lunick does have a background with music, but not exactly the same kind as Roxie. His is more… classical. Piano. That kind of thing. He takes the pencil and taps it against the table once.
“You got the easy part,” he muttered. Not like much of this was difficult, at least not for someone who knew something about music and also paid attention in class (unlike most of the students in there, who just used it as an opportunity to sleep).
He finally writes a careful letter (signifying some note I guess) next to the G that Roxie wrote. He pushes the paper back, looking to her. “Your turn, rockstar.” You can almost feel the annoying smirk in his voice.
It looks like they were doing this assignment the long way. But how else do you get a co-writing assignment done? Slapping her hand on the paper, she pulls it towards herself along with the pencil. She looks at it blankly, wondering what she could do next that would be appropriate in classical music. To be quite frank, she was goofing off in class most of the semester, and simply took Music Theory because she thought it would be an easy A. Though her knowledge of basic music theory got her pretty far in the course, she found herself forgetting certain rules in classical theory that just wasn't in the contemporary music theory she knew for her rock music.
Forgetting the pencil was his, Roxie brought it to her mouth and gave it a thoughtful chew. She didn't want to mess up. Looking hard at the paper, she eventually marked in the next two chords. One was right, the second resolved wrongly. Though such a progression would be alright in rock music, it was almost unheard of in classical.
"There," she tossed the paper and pencil back at him roughly and with a scowl. "Come on, let's get this over with, so I can actually go practice some real music."
Roommate Bonding
While being a bit dazed about her childhood memory, she blinked twice as to Roxie’s small prodding. …. Sapphire’s stupid mouth had slipped once again and feelings are becoming sentimental. “O-oh that… … well…. it… just somethin’ in the past.” she mutters a bit quietly. Plopping herself on her bed and staring a bit at the wall straight ahead. “…. I think….. aroun’ when I was only six….” “An’ uhh…. …. I’m not really … interested about talkin’ about the… past…” she mumbled.
Even though she felt a bit sad thinking about it, she gave a slight smile although her eyes gave a faraway look. Sighing a bit, the rough girl laid on her back on the bed soon quietly whispering, “I wonder if he’s okay after that…..” Feeling stupid as always, she took a pillow and covered her face.
“I DIDN’T SAY ANYTHIN’….”
"Hmm.." Roxie hummed before turning her attention back to her bass, plucking a few notes of a progression, "Sure that's fine. 'Guess I shouldn't have asked."
Slipping her body downward, Roxie managed to lay backwards on her bed, bass still in hand and still being played. It's notes were messier due to her lazy position, but she didn't care. It didn't matter. She was just really just practicing some old songs anyway. Her throat rumbled with a tune, her alto voice easily finding the notes of the rock song. That's when she heard Sapphire say something again. She played softly to listen, but found herself understand few of the words she managed to slip. Then she yelled.
"Whoa whoa, I have no idea what you're talking about anyway!! Tch, chill... I'm not gonna ask about your boyfriend or whoever that 'he' dude is."
unleashingmyrage said: Not really, no. punkroxie said: [raises hand]
For the rest of you, then! Not that I don’t think school-sponsored dances aren’t fun… but… hm. They really aren’t. If you’re looking for something different— rooftop of the girls dormitory, midnight, free drinks. And say, Roxie, aren’t you in a band?
Heh, I like the way you think. I might join you.
[Raises an eyebrow after the mention of her band.] Not locally, but yeah, I am. What of it?

@Diamond
[There she goes dragging him again. I mean yeah he knows he’s slow but does she always have to do this? In any case he keeps his smile and rolls his eyes.] Okay okay, Hold your horses! I can’t keep up with you pulling me like this. [He chuckles and tries to stay with her pace. It’s been a while since he’s done anything special or anything not involving a schedule he set up for himself. A nice change for once.]
Do you have anything specific in mind?
Oh uh... s-- [She stops herself short. Was she about to apologize? All these new friends she was making were softening her up.] Tch, fine.. [She slowed her gait for him. It was practically on impulse that she would drag people along since she was almost always the go-getter amongst her friends, so she didn't even notice.]
Uh... [nope, she had nothing specific in mind] yeah, I do.
[What a lier. Roxie isn't even exactly sure why she lied about something so pointless, but maybe she kind of missed having Dia to drag places. It seems she's been the one roped into conversations and hang-outs lately. Roxie was probably craving a moment to exploit her bossy attitude.]
[The rocker curved them towards the dorms, somewhere along the way deciding to head to her dorm room since it was the only place she could think of. In a sort of sudden realization that she was still clutching to Dia, she quickly removes her hands without making a huge deal about it, and moves to fetch her keys from her pocket. After finding them, she twirls them around her pointer finger, raising an eyebrow.] Let's just hang. Like old times, I guess. We haven't really done that in a while.
[She catches her keys, stopping their jingles from filling the air.] You didn't actually have something in mind instead, did you?
@Diamond
Humph, yeah I thought you'd like it!!! Even that ridiculous card... I don't know why it makes you smile so much. It was the only card I could find, and it's not even Christmas related.
Er.... right.. yeah, I [her eyes avert to the side, wondering if she should mention she wears that dumb ugly sweater around her dorm room basically every night... It was really comfy.. That pick he gave her was the perfect weight too.] your present was cool. Th..anks... [Being genuine wasn't exactly Roxie's cup of tea. Perhaps she should have seemed more excited, but the most she could muster was that single word and a brief glance up to him. To change the subject a bit, she clung to his arm and started dragging him in another direction] Come on, lets go do something.
The second meeting [closed for Roxie]
“Really? So I suppose you don’t like this place then…?”
Platina leaned her body towards Roxie when she was offered to listen to Roxie’s music and so that her ipod earbuds didn’t have to be stretched out that much. Whoa this was certainly music; she could pick up on all the different instruments used in the song and then a singer? Not opera that’s for sure. She started to sway a tiny bit to the music enjoying herself. “Hmm~” The girl closed her eyes and smiled faintly, “this is very different, but not by much,” she mused and continued to listen. Platina sighed and glanced at her companion, “I like it.”
"No. I really don't," she stated quite bluntly. Roxie purses her lips momentarily, considering if she should keep talking. This subject was already leading down a long road of personal emotions that she wasn't really if sure she wanted to talk about. And yet, she couldn't help but to add on one bit to the end of her thought. "In Unova I'm known as a rocker star. Here I'm just some punk-ass kid with a bass guitar. This place just doesn't get me, you know?"
Curiously eyeing the girl, she watched as she listened to the rock ballad, wondering if she was enjoying it. Upon hearing Platina's last three words, Roxie couldn't help but to feel a twinge of a smile. "Yeah! Well, uh, there's plenty more where that came from. I started ya off pretty soft too! Here.. let me play..." she searched around her ipod a second for a specific song, her brows furrowing and her tongue managing to slide between her lips as she looked for it, "AH, here it is! This is my stuff."
[Group Project]
Lunick brings his eyes up from his notebook as Roxie sits down. He glances at his watch, she’s late.
“You’re late,” he says flatly. He sighs and leans back in his chair. “Neither of us want to be here, so let’s just get this over with, alright?” Here, he rests his elbows on the table, putting his head in his hands. This is going to be the most torturous couple hours of his life, but, he’s resolved to be mature and focused so they can just get it done.
“Do you have any ideas? I know you’re a musician and all that, so I assume this would be simple for you,” he raises his eyebrows in an expression that is almost questioning. “Am I correct? Why don’t you start us off.”
Way to point out the obvious. "Tch, yeah, but you'll get over it."
She perched her chunky dr. martin boots up on a nearby chair as she listened to him, tentative agreement written all over her face. With an exhale, she managed a little nod, "Sounds good to me."
"Well," Roxie started, glaring at him briefly at his questioning expression, "we need to write a short song that includes some of the progressions we learned in class. Starting it off is the easy part."
Leaning over the table, she snatched his pencil and drew a large "G" on the page.
"Key of G major. Simple, but not too simple like C major. It's got one sharp, and the first chord of the progression will be the G chord, as it should be--You're turn," slapping the pencil on the page, she gave him a stare, wondering if he really knew anything about music. He did say her music was shit once, so she didn't particularly trust him to know what's what music-wise.

An important moment in history: Roxie and Lunick don't hate each other
[1/16/13 4:57:46 PM] may:
[With a navy duffle over her shoulder, the rocker stomped into the nearly descolate girls locker room. She rummaged through her bag and… shit… She didn’t have a shirt. Wearing her uniform during practice would be a hassle, nor did she feel like wallking all the way back to the dorms, so it was time to ask the boys for one.]
[Lazy and uncaring of the fact that she was only half dressed, Roxie went over in her pink sports bra and her usual pants for practice. She pushed open the door and yelled out into the lockerroom,] HEY, anyone got a spare shirt?

Roommate Bonding (??!!)
Okay that was an ultimate failure. Sapphire will never and never be good conversations even if she tried. It was just proven just now, as she accidentally made her roommate pissed off. Maybe she was used to people like Red instead. Red was kind of decent but he’s just around somewhereeeee. As Roxie trudged into the dorm room, she took a deep breath in and blew it out making her cheeks flat throwing her keys back into her bag.
Following afterwards her, the girl winced at the lingering comment that went straight right at her. She nodded a bit and gave a small face as she placed her stuff down on her bed and other related things on to the table. Wringing out her hands from running, she sighed pulling onto the hair band that held her hair up and letting it go to let her hair free.
“Ee… ee… a mistake of words.” she mutters turning pink a bit unhappy about her speech problems. “An’ of course humans make mistakes…! A lot of us do… …. even … harsh, tragic ones…” Her voice started falter as she stared at her desk as her white haired roommate continued to strum her guitar.
Eyes squinting lightly, Roxie moved her eyes to her roommate. Though her face was fairly blank, with her typical look of half-lidded eyes and a scowl on her lips, she seemed to have an air of curiosity and concern suddenly hitting her. Whatever Sapphire just said sounded pretty heavy. She thumbed a few more notes on her bass before placing her hand over it to stop its sound. She was almost hesitant to ask, but this is Roxie we're talking about, so she asked anyway, "What do you mean?... Uh, did.. something happen?"
She let out a sniff and fiddled with the tuning nobs on her bass guitar a moment, "Ya know, you don't have to tell me, but if there's something you want to get off you're chest, uh.." Roxie's voice faded into a grumble, not really sure how she was sounding to Sapph. Hopefully not prying.. Maybe she shouldn't even have offered.
