Snowcrow fic rec list
I have been in the snowcrow tag since Sylus' debut, and because of that I know for a fact I have read everything in there. SO. Here's a list in no particular order of my favorites! If the author is on Tumblr I will do my best to mention them, but most of these will be links to ao3 for my own ease, because that's where I save everything. And if I missed someone and they are here on Tumblr pls let me know so I can @ them!!
An important note: I highly disproportionately prefer top Sylus and bottom Zayne, so the vast vast majority of these will feature a more submissive Zayne. If that's not what you're looking for, I apologize😔 unless stated otherwise, these are all bottom/sub Zayne.
Additionally: the vast majority of these are explicit works, MDNI and all that, be aware of what you're clicking on. If there are any applicable trigger warnings, I will do my best to make sure they are mentioned so you can avoid them if you wish!

I'm not sure this series even needs an introduction, if you love snowcrow there's a very good chance you've already read this series. It is the magnum opus of snowcrow fic, but in case you haven't read it, here I am to talk you into it. For each installment of this series, you get to meet a new version of Sylus and Zayne and how they fall in love. The Doctor and the Conquerer, the Foreseer and the Dragon, Dawnbreaker and Carrion. It could not be more fun to get to read about all of these different versions of them and how they interact with each other and how different and similar their stories are, and you even get to meet an entirely new Sylus from the decaying world Dawnbreaker inhabits. I could gush about this series for ages. Read it!!! It is so worth it, and will keep you well fed for such a long time. And if you finish it and don't know what else to read, literally everything else Goose has written is worthy of a recommendation as well. You're gonna see this name pop up on this list several more times.

Vampire Sylus corrupts pious Father Zayne and whisks him away from a congregation that never truly had his best interests at heart. This is the priest Zayne x vampire Sylus fic from your dreams, it is everything you hope it to be and more. Not to mention the extremely well written original characters that will have you caring about them almost as much as our boys. (Plus, I have heard from a reliable source there's a sequel on the way.) Another must read if you love snowcrow.

It's hard to summarize all of these stories quickly, but trust me when I say you won't regret reading any of them (and yes, they're all like 50k words each). Leyorice is one of the gems in this fandom for the consistent and incredible storytelling we get every time they post. Their snowcrow au's are to die for. An arranged marriage in imperial China, zayne seducing his husband with a virgin killer sweater, government agents falling in love with men who should really be behind bars, a college professor making the mistake of offering a student a place to stay for a few days when his apartment floods. You'll never be disappointed sitting down to enjoy one of their fics. Not all of them are explicit, but some of them are. Honestly I recommend just going through everything they've written, it's all so good, these are just some of my favorites. They also have a fantastic selection of applesnow to read through as well.

This isn't the usual thing I'd recommend, for one, Zayne is pretty dominant throughout most of this fic, but in the last chapter he submits so sweetly it made it all worth it for me I can't lie. This is VERY much a Sylusmc + Zayne fic, but something about it had me invested anyway. The characterization and Zayne's self loathing etc etc, it was just a really fun read.
For Want of Control - ElizabethDurham

This one is somewhat similar to Heart Rate, but focuses on Zaynemc + Sylus instead. This one also features a lot of just Zaynemc and a dominant Zayne, but like Heart Rate, the last chapter totally won me over with how Zayne finally relinquishes control and submits. There's just something so juicy to me about Zayne being kind of neurotic about his control in bed and then eventually choosing to give it over to Sylus, even if it's just for a night.
The Scent of Desire - @jupiter235

I think this might be the only work in progress I have on here, but I don't care because omega Zayne and alpha Sylus!!! Sylus has an abnormally strong scent of blood and fire and brimstone, and it puts off anyone he comes in contact with. His interest in Zayne is piqued immediately when the two end up next to each other at a charity gala, and unlike everyone else in the room, he doesn't seem to notice Sylus' scent at all. Cue Sylus doing everything he can to stay near his new favorite doctor.
