The good thing is Jannik gets a longer break now before Wimbledon. He can go home, see family, rest for a bit. Silver lining of losing earlier in a tournament every once in a while tbh. The pro tennis schedule is insane but the ATP leaders clearly don’t care no matter how many players speak up about it. But that’s a whole separate issue at the moment. Wish the ATP would finally make a change when they see so many players struggling over the last few years.

Italian Open 2026 recap! Jannik had three days totally off between Madrid open final and start of Italian open. Jannik’s parents were at the Italian open tournament for multiple matches and were seen around practice and the sky bridge thing where players walk over the crowd to get to the press conference and locker rooms etc. jannik was in a good smiley mood in practices throughout and during his first match. Practiced with Cobolli early in the tournament, maybe Casper later I think. Laughed with Andrea Bocelli when he stopped by practice. Laila, his brother, and I guess his bro’s girlfriend sat together for semifinals and finals matches but his parents were somewhere else in the stands for each match. He started to feel pretty bad in the semis vs medvedev tho. Cramps or maybe even feeling sick and was breathing super hard during one of the changeovers. Puked maybe a little bit when he went into the corner for a couple quick seconds? He managed to get up a break in the third set and it stopped for rain at 4-2. Only took 20 mins the next day to win. Became youngest to win all 9 with the whole family in the crowd for the final May 17 but even from the court he could see his mom covering her face. President was there and met his parents while his mom was crying. Had fun with casper and champagne after the finals speeches. Posted a cute photo dump with good dinners, sweet locker room pics, golfing, and a falcon? Lol. In the last pic he was letting the win sink in. At least I hope that’s why he was looking down with his fingers on his forehead post final. Had lots of tension during this tournament according to manager Alex Vittur. Three days off with no tennis or gym training before heading to French open thank god. Went home to South Tyrol during those days off. Thurs got to Paris for French Open

Monte Carlo 2026 recap! Jannik’s dad and Laila were at each match pretty much the whole week, then his brother and mom joined at the final apr 12. He did the tradition of jumping off the high dive into the pool near the country club (where the tournament is held) and Carlos filmed it. Some formula 1 drivers were there throughout the week of course, couple of them in Jannik’s player box (like George Russell in the qf). Played doubles with Zizou Bergs (lots of laughs from Jannik during their match cuz Zizou is hilarious). Carlos made him laugh when they hugged at the net after the final. Had fun celebrating after the final with a fancy dinner. Had around 7 days between Monte Carlo open final and Laureus awards in Madrid then Madrid tournament, during which he rode his scooter with Laila and trained at the country club.

Indian wells 2026 recap! Jannik Sinner beat svercina, shapovalov, fonseca, tien, zverev, and then medvedev in the final. Reilly Opelka had him laughing a ton when they played doubles together. Jannik had two childhood friends spend time with him during the tournament and one was making him laugh at the beginning of a press conference. He let out a “c’mon! Let’s go!” that you could actually hear during the semi match vs zverev which he doesn’t do very often. Pointed to his team at the end of most matches but pointed to his heart after the finals match point. Admitted to disliking press conferences (same). And had some lighthearted interview moments on tennis channel. Freckles were freckling and heart was full (at least mine was lol).
