unlike demigods, we know that wizards can use technology, because they have to place spells against it within hogwarts grounds
but, unlike the school, wizarding
don’t have to be hidden from prying muggle eyes
so imagine, once the computer age really got started, a computer started showing up in every wizard house (minus the purest purebloods, for the most part, but I would like to think Malfoy has one)
but, after google really starts going, wizards learn that the internet is only a resource about the basic world
not their world, which is under the bulk of it
so then a young Ravenclaw and Slytherin, desperately wanting to connect to social media, come up with an idea
they drag a few more students into the mix, and with a little charmwork and a lot of coding, they do it
they make a Google that only a charmed computer can access
so, wizards can search for wizard history, post potion recipes to Pintrest, and make Vines about the latest exploits in the ministry
a charmed wizard internet below the regular one, that requires a spelled computer and special hardware to access
after a while, others come up with the idea of uploading the ‘internet spell’ to a broadband signal, so you could use muggle computers, which were much cheaper
