Monty is a kindergarten student who has a set of parents. He's quite intelligent for his age and is entrepreneurial. Thus, Monty is one of the few children with the ability to read, and will often monetize this ability, charging Kid if he requires something to be read. He's also technologically savvy, able to rewire the Principal's devices to be turned into a weapon.

In the first game, Monty will sell the player various items which change throughout the day. Some items are only available for purchase during certain times of the day. Unfortunately, Monty's know-it-all personality led to his downfall. He mocked the Janitor's misspelling of "Biscut," which led to the man attacking him. It's revealed in show-and-tell that Monty was paralyzed, but not killed. This caused him to permanently lose feeling in his legs.

Thanks to this, Monty is more irritable by the sequel as he's now wheelchair bound. But he'll resume his business of buying and selling items. However, Monty will only sell Kid items before school. This is because he can't sell his goods at recess since he keeps his belongings in a locker upstairs. Besides that, Monty is busy during lunch and science. He's even resourceful and able to adapt. Although there's no longer a source for the pills that the Principal was creating in the last game, Monty is able to make new ones using certain ingredients and a chemistry set.

The red-head holds a grudge against the Janitor for crippling him on Monday. As a result, Monty plans to take his revenge on him by killing the old man. During smart class, he's tinkering with miscellaneous gadgets. If prompted, Monty says he's trying to upgrade the precision of the laser canon on his chair. If Kid gives him Penny's laser module, he'll get excited. When lunchtime starts, Monty will wheel up to the Janitor and shoot a laser into his legs and head. After this, he'll state, "I feel better now," and resume his day as normal.

Monty hates it when he's treated as lesser for being disabled. Felix claims he "won't put up much of a fight" when needing to find someone to take an arm from. Monty confronts Kid when he attempts to take his arm, pointing a large laser canon at him. He also gets offended when Dr. Danner refers to him as "wheelchair boy" and not his name. In certain missions, it's possible to take Monty's elevator key. If the player doesn't return the key, Monty will get stuck upstairs or downstairs, regardless Kid will eventually be killed by him out of frustration.
