The reason why he's black and white may or may not bec I'm too lazy to color- BUT IT CAN BE A QUIRK OF HIS--

If Dream is injured, lets say he breaks his arm, it's not as if Nightmare experiences the same injury, no. But Nightmare occasionally finds himself holding his arm, or hesitating to grab something, or shifting away so something wouldn't brush against his arm. It's annoying to him, bothersome when this happens.

When Nightmare is feeling totally consumed by negativity, this horrible overbearing shadow, Dream doesn't suddenly feel horrible, no. But Dream finds himself more on edge, cautious, he feels nervous that anything may trigger what could be his very downfall. He feels like himself, sure, but there's this looming feeling that something is happening, something wrong. So he usually reaches out to his friends, he checks in on others around him. He keeps trying to find why he suddenly feels so... odd, it's like a TV was left on in his mind, playing horrible feelings not his own. And he can just never place why this happens, he just doesn't get it. He feels fine. Everything is fine. So why does his head tell him the world is ending?

Anyways drafting haha, I love these two sillies.

The possibilities of this helping them? Like, Dream doesn't spend all of his time fighting Nightmare, imagine if he was, for once, having fun in a winter AU, having a great time, then suddenly there's an avalanche and he's buried in snow. In his castle, Nightmare chokes on his breath for a second, and then shivers.
