Their eyes widen as they silently ask what he’s planning. Gavin doesn’t say anything, but he presses soft kisses along their exposed ankle and up to their knee. He chuckles as Freelancer’s grip on the armrests of their chair tighten, knuckles turning white.

“I missed you.” He mouthed.

Freelancer’s eyes soften as they mouth back “me too.”

He's heard about crystals — obviously, he's dealt with some even trying a crucifix to "banish" him, does not work like that — so at first he was skeptical.

It was like the pink stone was mocking him in a way. Every time he held it in his hands, he'd study it. He did like feeling the weight of it in his palm or in his pocket, but he still didn't think much about it.

He almost thought his love was calling him out on his self esteem in his down days, that stung, but... The thought that they wanted to make him feel better...

That's the part that made him think it actually works... That his partner wants to make everything better that they tried some crystal to make his worries go away.

Did it end up working? Maybe. Maybe not.

And Darlin was really confused, but then they remembered they asked Sam not to heal the bites so it probably looked like they got mould

And they tried to explain that they were ok. But the guys launch into the whole "you need to rely on the pack" rant

And Darlin is just like. "NO NO NO! it was Sam!"

And then the boys go quiet.
