Spiders in the Underground

Jackson supposed he shouldn’t be surprised when they asked him to take care of the spiders that had been showing up en masse in the Underground. It was no secret that he held a love for spiders. He hoped he could eradicate them without having to kill them all, though he was sure that’s what everyone else would like. He was not prepared to find someone cornered by the spiders, however. He pinched the bridge of his nose lightly as he took a deep breath. He needed to help the person, not ridicule them for being scared of a few harmless spiders, like his thoughts were trying to suggest. He met their gaze as calmly as possible. “They won’t harm you. Just walk around them.”

“Billy, do we have a moment?“ Roman asked his best friend. Smiling at Bill’s comment, Roman looked at the blonde and nodded his head. 

“I’m enjoying myself with you so far, Aisling. I’m hoping you can say the same.“ Luke chuckled. “What are your job responsibilities as a Runner?“

Greta turned surprised. “I suppose so… What did you need?” Greta had just left the precinct, arms filled with her serial killing case. “Do I know you?” Something about the girl’s face was familiar.

The Interview

“Thank you for agreeing to talk with me,“ Luke gave his best winning smile as he turned on his recorder and settled down with his pen and pad. “For the sake of having everything recorded, let’s start with the basics. What is your name and title?“

Sven winked his thanks but was watching her closely as she made his drinks.

“Wanna hit the restaurant?”

“Yeah. Dan might actually kill me if something happens to her.”

“Can I buy you a drink, Aisling?“ Patch turned his full attention to her before giving her a flirty smile. “Or… We can go back to my place and you can feed off of me.” 

Dan shrugged not really knowing which would be best. 

“That’s a good thing too!“ Patch laughed. “You’re cool beans, Aisling.“
