We chose the name Aeonian because it represents what this project means to us: something that endures.

Not only Rey and Ben, but the way this fandom continues to create, to love, and to show up for a story that still matters to us.

Different styles, different voices, all moving together toward the same feeling.

What began as separate drawings became something shared, something alive.

Recently I've re-read "Spartaco" by Raffaello Giovagnoli and wanted to draw some fanarts based on the book specifically. So here's my take on Spartacus as he was described by Giovagnoli: big buff hunk with blond hair and soulful baby-blue eyes. The author said - let's sexualize that 2000 years old man and I can't say no to that.

Initially I only planned to draw him stark naked with a sword, but then I thought - what if I'll throw a paludamentum over his shoulders as he wore one after his army proclaimed him their emperor? And after that I thought it'd be only just to depict him in gladiator's attire as well. Not sure he was thraex (thrax) specifically or murmillo, but they're pretty close in their regimentals, so I've chosen the first one to go with his origins.
