Final gift for today a butt load of billyjean’s curio bedroom wood frame recolors, wall and ground version have the same recolors. File size heavy, I wish the ground version was slaved to the wall one, but I do not know how to do that, and since my hard drive can take it, I made lots of recolors, Get it if you have enough space :)

Counters deco slots weight adjustment:

As you all know, in-game counters have two additional decorative slots on the back. Sadly, you could place there only small deco objects. Well, that has been fixed!

From now, you should be able to place on those slots any object that can be placed on the end tables.

It does NOT add any new slots to the Maxis counters. But you’ll be able to place there some objects, that previously weren’t allowed by the game :)

This should work with all Maxis counters shipped with all EPs and SPs (residential and commercial counters and islands from the base game, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, H&M, Kitchen&Bath - the other packs don’t contain any counter).

Press the M key to cycle through the slots. For some objects you may need to use ‘moveobjects on’.

This is just a replacement for the Slot File (SLOT). It changes nothing else and will work with texture replacements.

On the set of “speakeasy”, the most unusual and unique experience of my life! They’ve converted this building to look just like a speakeasy. Sliding bookcase, paintings that move, a cabaret, drinking, craps, roulette, cards, all available for your entertainment! You can roam free as different scenes appear in different rooms. Sometimes the actors will interact with the audience.

It’s like traveling back in time. This has been a thrilling experience, I’m so excited to be a part of it. My first performance as Dorothy is tonight! Very nervous, but so excited!

A little history (taken from thespeakeasysf.com): Joe’s Clock Shop opened in 1907 following the great quake. Joe specialized in the repair of pocket watches, grandfather clocks, and other rare time pieces. After the start of prohibition, it was proposed to the aging clocksmith by an aspiring bootlegger that he become the front for an illegal speakeasy. With his eyesight failing and his only son having died in the Spanish-American War leaving no one to take over the shop, Joe saw the opportunity to retire comfortably and took the offer. Joe continued to tinker with clocks, but he was rarely ever seen. The Speakeasy thrived for many years, and for a time the operation proved to be unstoppable. Good fortune came to an end after a massive raid by Treasury Agents in 1923. The Speakeasy shut its doors forever and what happened to Joe remains a mystery to this day.

Eddysims’ Custom Computer Screen Addon -  Term Paper Default Replacement

I use the Custom computer screen by eddysims and I absolutely love it! I was thinking about making a term paper screen replacement that fits with eddy’s screens and… it’s done! No more blue text on plain white screen!

Technically, there are two videos for the term paper interaction, but I managed to replace them with only one video (to reduce file size).

Two versions. The only difference is the video size (thus the video quality).

HOW TO INSTALL:

Put the video in C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 University\TSData\Res\Movies\Games\TypeText (it can vary if you have the University Life Collection or the Ultimate Collection). **Do NOT rename this video file. Otherwise it won’t work. Keep the other files (the .movie files).

Put the typetext.ini file from the “.ini {replace}“ folder in C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 University\TSData\Res\Movies\Games\INI (then again, it can vary if you have the University Life Collection or the Ultimate Collection). It should replace the old typetext.ini file.

Voilà!

HOW TO UNINSTALL:

Put the typetext.ini file from the “.ini {backup}“ folder in C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 University\TSData\Res\Movies\Games\INI (then again, it can vary if you have the University Life Collection or the Ultimate Collection). It should replace the modified typetext.ini file.
