No Outdoor Shadows Part I (Part II is here) Simsanto Inc. shared some of these a few years ago, I added some others and combined them into two files: 1. zz_shasta_NoOutdoorShadows_supplies is only useful if you have ft and al. 2. zz_shasta_NoOutdoorShadows_rugs is only useful if you have HugeLunatic's Off Grid Rugs Fix. It shouldn't hurt anything if you don't have all eps/sps.

^ I couldn't remove the above rugs' outdoor shadows, phooey. If I had, the file would need to load after Lunie's zz_HL_RugFixesDL_ALL. I kept the zz_ file name in case I ever figure out the baseball rug.

edit! June 2026 A friend let me know why I couldn't remove the shadows from the rugs in the last pic: load order :/

Numenor's updated _EnableColorOptionsGMND should be placed loose (not sub-foldered) in your Downloads folder

zz_shasta_NoOutdoorShadows_rugs needs to load after HugeLunatic's zz_HL_RugFixesDL_ALL.

Hi, Shasta. Do you know why hugelunatic's tumblr was deactivated? And does this have any relation to GoS, Sims2Artists and their personal website (hugelunatic com) also being down? For GoS I'm getting a message about the site being on maintenance, while on S2A, it says "Fatal error: Array and string offset access syntax with curly braces is no longer supported in /home/gosadmin/sims2artists.com/Sources/Subs.php on line 3873," and their website simply never loads :/ I hope it's nothing wrong with Lunie :(

Hi! I messaged HugeLunatic at MTS, they are okay but just not interested in Sims right now (I'm hoping this is temporary). They said they're working on GoS but the forum is so old and so big that trying to update one thing usually breaks another. They are slogging away at it though and we should send thoughts and prayers :P

Sims2Artists is back up and they've moved their tutorial site (A Lunatic Idea) to wordpress here but lost their domain name which is why we couldn't find it

hi shasta! I reached out last year about the Klippan pillow Ikea repo not working for me. I ended up going back to the BG version, which works with some recolors but not others. Randomly, today I tried the Ikea version again and am still having the issue of not being able to use the design tool on the pillows. I have the ultimate collection (through osab), and I was wondering if maybe the Ikea version of the pillows could be struggling to find the proper files or something? I just don't know what the issue could be. any insight? thank you!

Hi! I'm glad you messaged me again, I don't know why I made those pillows so complicated. Here are Tinkle's six meshes, all repositoried to the KLIPPAN loveseat cushion so IKEA is required. I added shadows a few years ago and re-categorized them to comfort: misc. Any recolors of the loveseat cushion ~should~ work with these

Does anyone know if @princessbliss-sim's hobbit door and window (couldn't find the original page) has been fixed by anyone yet? They look like this at night and when viewing from certain angles (in daytime) they are darker/lighter. I also don't think they let light "in", the rooms are always pitch black when I'm using them. If no one has done this, how would one (me) fix this?

@shastakiss (hi!) have you (or someone else) repo'd the tub+curtain on this tub to the BG comboclean tub's curtains+tub? (tub tub tub) as it is now, it needs custom recs (omg my english is so bad do I make any sense??)

Higher mailbox+trashcan lod90-default? I swear I used to have this but I can't for the life of me find it. (basically a tiny default replacing the lod90-meshes with the lot-meshes)

I have once again managed to delete a wallpaper I didn't mean to (I hate past me for merging so many walls). Thread with pics here.

Here's an updated version of shasta_combocleannickel for Pets/FreeTime - porcelain tub/rim subset is repositoried to the bg colonial bathtub - curtain subset is repositoried to the bg colonial tub/shower - everything else is nickel/silver and not recolourable - requires Numenor's CEP-EXTRA_ColonialShowerTub

I tried so hard but the curtain is no longer animated >:|

It should work with any default replacement bubbles/bathwater depending on load order

Also, recently i've been getting back into the sims 2 and downloaded the Life Stories objects but unfortunately my game was crashing with the "Chair_Dining_Nominell" package. The Nominell chair is pre-order bonus and requires the IKEA stuff pack - do you have that? We can probably find a version of the chair that doesn't require IKEA if not.

Or do you mean that having the Nominell chair and the Life Stories objects in your game at the same time causes crashes?

I have a problem with a Leefish window ((https://modthesims.info/download.php?t=307794) It's the one tile shuttered one from LaFenetre. There's no glass in mine (also not when used diagonal). I tried to use it with no other downloads in game, but still no glass. Do you have any idea on how to fix this?
