Grimoire / Book of Shadows

A Grimoire mostly known as Book of Shadows is basically a Witches Diary!

It holds Spells, Divination, Corespondents, your Personal notes etc.

Your Grimoire is YOURS! you make the rules, there is no certain way a Grimoire has to be written and set up!

Always make sure your Grimoire is protected and doesn’t fall into the hands of others! A protective Sigils is always good to use!

Some keep several Grimoires specific for one topic each, i.e One for Spells, one for Tarot, one for Dreams one for Recipes etc. once again your Grimoire your rules!

What to use for your Grimoire:

You can use everything from binders to composition books, you can make your own binding, even papers in a folder. However you want to keep your Grimoire is up to you. Some even keep an online and digital Grimoire on their phones and/or computers.

If you don’t want to use too many pages for one topic you can add Envelopes, Envelopes are awesome to keep Star maps, portable Divination spreads and boards and dried flowers, herbs, pictures etc.

You can keep your Grimoire simple or decorate it with symbols, drawings, washi tape, pressed flowers etc. if you mess up a page you can paint over it or glue something over it or however you’d like to fix it.

Keep and Index so you know where everything is, color coding is an awesome option too.

🌟 The Scorpio full moon is a great time to release yourself of any negativity and negative situations.

🌟 Its time for forgiveness most importantly its time to forgive yourself of anything thats been making you feel low.

🌟 Meditation and reflection is always a good practise, reflect on the things that have gone wrong for you in the past few months and put them past you.

🌟 Manifestation work is another good thing to do, think about what you want for yourself and write it all out and repeat it outloud tonight.

🌟 Cleansing baths or showers are really refreshing on a full moon. I personally take my lunar intention oil and (skin safe) sage spray into the shower with me and wash away negativity. 😌

while insect visitors like ants, wasps and spiders aren’t always welcome, killing these little creatures is never ideal, and can interfere with the energy of your home. whenever possible, here are some natural + humane alternatives to pest removal.

✳ ants: leaving lemon rind near their points of entry to your house is an effective deterrent; they will avoid the smell. you can also use baby powder, which they don’t like to walk on.

✳ wasps: if there is a wasp nest around your home, placing several cotton balls coated in peppermint essential oil around the affected area, like the corners of the front porch, will bother the wasps enough to stay away from the area. the closer you can place the peppermint to the nest, the better.

✳ spiders: chestnuts have a chemical compound on their surface that acts as a spider repellent; additionally, chestnuts don’t go bad for quite some time, so they can provide long-term spider deterring. place a handful of chestnuts in the corners of your home.

✳ bees: honeybees are precious and should be kept alive at all costs. if there is a beehive near or on your home that is causing bees to enter your home, or you or someone you live with have a bee allergy, the most effective humane way to prompt the bees to build a hive elsewhere is to smoke them out. do this at dawn, as it gives the bees time to relocate before sundown. using rotten wood, paper or cardboard, create a burning pile underneath or nearby the hive, set it alight, and immediately vacate the area, as the bees will start exiting the hive. make sure all your windows are sealed. you may need to do this over the course of a few days to ensure they leave, and often times bees won’t return to an area where they’ve been smoked.

Words cannot describe what I feel. My heart goes out to all of the families who have lost someone dear to them.

This is an awful and tragic attrocity which I didn’t think I would ever experience in my lifetime in New Zealand, especially in my own city. My heart breaks for everyone effected.
