A conversation I don’t think yall are ready for yet is that you can love a character sooooo much and relate to them and see yourself in them but at the end of the day they’re still fake and that’s why someone else’s take on them or headcanon about them isn’t a direct message about you or insult to your identity. If your identity is so wrapped up in a character that you can’t distinguish between reality and fiction, then you are the problem. Not some random person online who interprets the character differently than you.

this also goes for when you hate a character soooooo much and relate them to every person who hurt you and see everyone you hate in them, at the end of the day they're still fake and someone else's love for them is not a commentary on your trauma

it's an understandable motivation to try and combat people's transmed hatred through "my genitals are none of your business" and "you're always valid regardless of transition status", and these are statements I wholehearted agree with but Oh my god please contextualize. just think about it. why are these being said in 2026? why are these mentioned in all conversations about hrt? about surgeries? i cannot believe im saying this but you aren't actually defending some new and righteous position of wokeness you sound like those people bending themselves over backwards to justify wanting to shave their legs. the point WE are actually fighting for is the simple fact that you should have the unwaivering autonomy to make whatever choice feels best for you in your body without judgement or question. but this isn't a mindset everyone has currently. so yes actually there is malice behind posts talking about detransitioning being okay and shaved legs being "what's most comfortable!" and bottom surgery being scary. because that is currently the status quo. which you are reinforcing (even if unintentionally). if you really wanted to be an ally to movements you'd shut the fuck up
