When we meet Han, Rey asks if he’s really Han Solo, and his response is “Well, I was.”  Sooooooo…. I think what I’m trying to get here is that, if anyone took the other’s name in that marriage, it was Han. People just keep calling him Solo because that’s what he’s famous by.
