May be a month late to the project Hail Mary train but I genuinely love how warm the community is. there is no ship war. There is no “ohhh this characters the Best One and I’m going to Harass Anyone Who Disagrees” it’s just a bunch of really cool artists sharing their aus and animatics and 3D prints and paintings and full on robots and everyone else going “amaze amaze amaze!!!!” with the occasional “how did you do this question. this is cool. statement”

or like. The shitposts. There’s someone on Instagram who did a rocky Hatsune Miku drawing and it made me giggle. The amount of Iron Lung and Project Hail Mary comics is insane. everyone in this community at A VERY BRIEF GLANCE is kind and wonderful and sweet. and it’s so nice to see.

fandom has the potential to be a bunch of people welcoming old and new fans, making cool things and sharing them. and I’ve found in the big Four I’ve Had (PJSK, Miraculous Ladybug, Pokemon, Vocaloid) there’s always some sort of gatekeeping or mocking another ship or something. like yeah sure we can’t always be positive that’s FINE but why ARE WE DOGGING ON NEW FANS?? OR SENDING DEATH THREATS OVER ADRIGAMI??? WHY NOT. share the classics!! and share stories about why you as an older fan miss the fandom before pjsk or before Astruc threw Chloe Bourgeois’ character arc in the trash or why you find the old Pokemon games so charming compared to the new ones!!!! why beef when we can share the joy and whimsy.
