You are my love and my world, Rayne." He whispered softly, fingers running through his hair as he held him close. "I never imagined I could be this happy. I feared I’d die with no remorse, no family, no one to call my own. And yet here you stumbled upon me, with that beast by your side. If I could have slain him then and taken you with me to the life time of paradise and happiness I would."

~★~ Rayne curled up comfortably against his beloved’s chest, burying his face into the crook of Crysis’ neck.

"I knew when I first saw you that you were the most beautiful being I had ever seen. Both inside and out. When you were alone with him, I just knew I couldn't be happy until I had you in my arms and away from the monster in your bed. I love you, Rayne."

It didn’t take long for him to straddle Rayne close him, peppering kisses across his face down to his neck and nuzzling affectionately into his shoulder. “You are beautiful, my dear. Absolutely beautiful.” He doesn’t recall being so happy in his life, not after his life fell apart all those centuries ago. Rayne makes him happy. Abigail makes him happy. His sons and Amelia make him happy. His family as a whole brings tears to his eyes. 

~★~ Rayne leaned forward and returned some of the kisses he was given, pressing his lips to Crysis’ cheeks gently. “I’m still so amazed at the pure luck of our meeting, and yet, a little ashamed at how it happened, because the first time I met you I was still with Ivan. But he was a horrible, horrible boyfriend… and you treated a complete stranger like me like you truly cared about me.”

"Sweet dear Rayne. Motherhood must be so much for your body to handle. It’s alright. I’ll take care of you." he cooed softly, nuzzling into Rayne’s hair before setting the sleeping male down on their bed.

~★~ Of course he felt bad stealing Crysis away from their daughter, especially using such a sneaky method, but maybe he deserved to be selfish just a little bit. “Just for a minute? We haven’t had a minute alone in a long time.”

"A-Ah! I should take a picture to show Mathias." Donald squeaked before squirming away to find a camera. Crysis only cooed and gently tickled his daughter’s tummy as he continued with his doting attitude. 

~★~ Rayne, not knowing what else to do, sat on a nearby couch, watching with a smile. He didn’t understand how Crysis had the energy to be awake with how much Abigail wanted to wake them in the night. Even when they took turns, she awoke them both many times a night. And so, when the new mother finally sat down, he started to drift to sleep on the couch almost immediately, listening to the happy sounds of his family.

"But who will serve me?" grumbled Marty McMoneybags. "Who will make me feel important? Who will do my laundry and cook my food and stand in front of me wearing a plastic smile while I take out all my stress—because I do have a lot of stress, you know, being this rich is stressful—on them?” He paused and straightened out the piles of hundred dollar bills on the desk in front of him, then raised his two watery, outraged eyes up to the Heavens. “Lord, if there are no poor people, how will I know that I’m rich??”
