"I understand, love. I’m yours for now."
Even he had to admit that he missed these quiet moments they had together during his eventful outburst with their child. He loves her dearly, but even he gets tired and lonely for his lover’s touch.
"That’s because I did. I saw something in you that I hadn’t before in very long time. I saw a potential love that could blossom into something far greater than I could ever expect it to me. You are my love and my world, Rayne." He whispered softly, fingers running through his hair as he held him close. "I never imagined I could be this happy. I feared I’d die with no remorse, no family, no one to call my own. And yet here you stumbled upon me, with that beast by your side. If I could have slain him then and taken you with me to the life time of paradise and happiness I would."
~★~ “Well things ended up the way they were supposed to anyway. It was a messy separation, and I went to find him once or twice so I could apologize and stop feeling so… guilty. But I eventually decided that he couldn’t hold it against me for realizing there was someone who would treat me better. I only think about Ivan now when I think of how amazing you are, Crysis. My life with you is so blissful that all that pain in my past has just gone away… I feel whole again. No bits and pieces missing, no medicated haze, no flashbacks. Just peace.”
~★~ Rayne curled up comfortably against his beloved’s chest, burying his face into the crook of Crysis’ neck.
Crysis remained silent, his heart gently speeding up within his chest as he listened to Rayne's words. Pale lips kissed the boy's forehead as he held him close, a warm embrace between lovers and best friends.
"I knew when I first saw you that you were the most beautiful being I had ever seen. Both inside and out. When you were alone with him, I just knew I couldn't be happy until I had you in my arms and away from the monster in your bed. I love you, Rayne."
