Being a “nice girl” doesn’t get you anywhere. Ofc you need to be polite but you also need to be assertive and direct. Speak up, say no, ask for what you want. Demand it even. Closed mouths don’t get fed.

You can be nice and still stand up for yourself. You can be direct and respectful. You can reinforce your boundaries and express your feelings calmly and be heard. The difference is your delivery. Being nice is not being a doormat or a people pleaser.

I don't WANT to "push through it"! I don't WANT everything to be hard and painful and unfun! I don't WANT to always be expected to do the hard things, the painful things, the difficult things! I don't WANT to have to go thru every single day as if existing is such a monumental difficult excruciating challenge, I want some things in my life to be fucking easy! If “comphet” is real and not just another way to claim that lesbians can be attracted to men…why does nobody talk about gay men experiencing it? Wouldn’t they experience feeling attracted to fictional and/or masculine women? Wouldn’t they be talking about that and joining the conversation about “comphet”? Why would it be strictly a lesbian experience when gay men also experience homophobia? Is it possibly because it’s just a lie created by the many people who are very eager to find any way to cross women’s boundaries, and find female homosexuality to be an especially enticing boundary to cross?
