I really want to see an analysis of the way that Cassandra Cain comics often has religious symbols (like angels and demons) that are more Catholic/Christian, while Lady Shiva has Hindu symbolism (like the name Shiva), and how this is could be like, really racist, having the villain with eastern symbols and the hero with western symbols

I think Cass’s religious symbolism is mostly from authors and artists trying to visualize guilt and repentance, which is often associated with Abrahamic religions, but Shiva’s is very directly trying to make her seem more mysterious and villainous.

I’m not an expert on religious symbolism or racism, and I’d rather leave a more in depth analysis for someone who is, but I think it’s blatant enough that you can put pieces together without knowing much.

This sounds like a shitpost but people should be allowed to be horny. As in, sexuality is just part of life for most people and there’s no reason for consensual sexual behavior to be punished. A celebrity getting “caught” at a sex club shouldn’t be a scandal. No one should be fired for having a fetlife profile outside of work. Nudes getting leaked shouldn’t be career-ending. Denying and hiding (consensual) sexual interests doesn’t make anyone more professional, it just makes everyone more repressed. And sterilizing ourselves to be better work drones isn’t productive, it’s just creepy. I’d rather my surgeon get absolutely railed on camera and come to work in a good mood, frankly.

To me, Cass and Shiva would only refer to each other by name instead of “mother” or “daughter”, because that’s just more natural to them.

If Cass is referring to Shiva as “mother” it’s usually a jab or she’s in a heightened emotional state. If Shiva is referring to Cass as daughter, it’s usually also a jab or some bit of condescending comment, or as a bit of “You’re my flesh and blood, get off the floor and fight.”
