There is something interesting in how the doctor becomes this almost mythological being in new who when before he was more often a nobody or just another time lord, because before the time war the time lords were the myth, the beings to be feared, their name meant something, but after the war they’re gone and they just don’t seem to be known in the way that they once were, but the doctor is, the doctor as the last time lord has now taken on the myths and fears that came with the time lords, they no longer can be just some nobody of a time lord because they are the only time lord so they must become what the time lords once were what they once represented
