what is the new popes plan to deal with the fact the chicago is divided up between five monster families

when the spn reboot happens there will be a continuation of the bloodlines plot where the winchesters have to fight the five monster families of chicago . the cold open is a hunter in chicago trying to use holy water and exorcisms to fight a monster, but it doesn't work and the hunter gets dragged away screaming. one of the winchester's contacts in chicago tells them about this and says they have to talk to this man who knows all about the families, says he used to be named bob but now he goes by a different name. cut to sam and dean breaking into the vatican to talk to the chicagoan pope. BUT.... the pope is actually evil (that's why holy water stopped working) and wants the hunters and monster families to fight each other for his evil pope reasons. so now they have to find a way to kill the evil american pope, or as dean puts it "we're gonna gank this unholier-than-thou sonofabitch and then go get some deep dish"

I LOVE that supernatural establishes that dean sees Bobby as a father by having him say it multiple times, but it establishes that Sam sees Bobby as a father figure by having him try to kill Bobby for a spell that requires patricide. Thank you supernatural very cool.

it feels a little gross to take very real people who met and fell in love and devalue that by reducing them to their characters. but on the other hand ‘dean winchester’s werewolf boyfriend and dean winchester’s vampire boyfriend met and fell in love irl’ is one of the funniest technically true statements i can think of right now.
