there's this wild strawberry plant that just this spring has emerged victorious after spending the better part of a few years creeping its way out from under a rock, and near that a birch tree that after being rather savagely battered in a storm has now bandaged itself to a sufficient degree that it can focus its efforts back on growth. only a stone's throw from them, our local salamanders have moved their base of operations closer to the cool-damp of the pond following last year's drought. that's just a corner of our world and it alone is brimful of arduous resilience!! a veritable buffet of fight-for-life!! right there, to be soaked in and wrest strength from :]
