this update marks the completion of chapter one! 🥳 so far, in this chapter, you can:
learn about the world, and your place in it as a helvling.
establish your relationship with your Keeper, Shea.
fight against a many-limbed helspawn.
save a child (or not).
customise your helvling, including skin, hair, and eye colour, hair texture and length, facial hair, body type, unique features, etc.
spend time with either shea, penrose or elexis. pet a horse, eat some treats, play a card game, or go lick your wounds (or shea's).
the length of your playthrough will vary depending on your choices. please let me know if you come across any continuity errors or other bugs! 💜
virtue's end is an 18+ interactive dark fantasy novel set in a sunless, medieval world struck by catastrophe. you play as a helvling, a cursed monster hunter with a (barely) suppressed monstrous side, bound to serve a human Keeper as you travel through broken lands teeming with danger.
Chapter 3 brings you approximately 55k words in total.

So, in this update:
• You are now an adult, you survived everything life has thrown your way so far. Twenty years old now... so much time has passed since that unforgettable night.
• Did you burn the previous Consort's room? Did you not burn the room? How have your decisions shaped the present in front of you?
• Two years ago, Helios and Hunter embarked on a journey to Vesphire, while you were confined to your palace. In a matter of hours, they will be back. However, they won't be the only ones returning; the Imperial Army, dispatched two years prior to assist Norazaan in their war, will also be arriving with the royals of that land to express their gratitude.
• A hunt has been organized to greet the guests from Norazaan upon their arrival. Whether you choose to participate or not, life will continue as usual. I trust you're ready for whatever may accompany the event.
A few additional changes have been made:
• You will have to restart from the beginning due to rewritten content and stats.
• Last time I added dark mode due to heavy demand, now it is the only mode available. Light mode is gone for now! Sorry. 🫣
