A lot of you have been asking about how I go about animating.
I’m no master in animation and what I am sharing with you is what I taught myself, but I will try my best to explain my process. I hope this helps.
1)First I create the thumbnails or storyboard, these are what I base my animations on and are very rough. They don’t require a lot of details and only serve as a reference so it’s important to get down an idea of your pose so you have a clear understanding of what you’re aiming for.
2)Second is the keys, these are the single most important thing in any animation and requires a lot of patience. Simply put if your keys are terrible then what follows will be terrible. These are your A to B and if these aren’t good or clear then you’ll be putting yourself in a bad spot. In the first set of keys there is not much change and as a result the action will feel weak and not have much weight (unless that’s what you’re aiming for). These aren’t good for what I was aiming for so I made a new key packing much more weight as seen in the second set of keys.
3)Third is the extremes, these bad boys are the WHERE and HOW in the change of the action. This means that these will tell the viewer “Hey, this is how fast something should be.” or “Check it! This action isn’t very strong”. These are usually found next to the the keys. In this example the ass is going down on the cock, the moment where the it bounces and reverts back to the key is the extreme. It gives weight and flow to your keys.
4)Fourth is the breakdowns, these little guys are the WHEN and WHY in the change of action and are usually in the middle of extremes. These help the viewer identify the buildup to the action.
5)Fifth is the inbetweens, these peeps help smooth out the animation and makes it more fluid. You’ll find these inbetween what I mentioned previously.
6)Sixth is the cleanup, this is pretty self explanatory. You may notice that some body parts intercept others, this is because I planned on coloring the animation and separated them accordingly. I can place things on top of others giving them priority so when I color they won’t get erased. For example, the background in this scene is the lowest priority, I can paint on top of it and not worry about having things like the anon or Psy-Crow’s head disappear.
7)Seventh is the Coloring, this is where I add color and what not.

8)Finally is the Video Editing, this is where I open up my video editing software and upload things like sound and image sequences to the timeline. Bonus points if you already planned out the sounds and timing with a sketch mockup. This’ll save you a lot of time and may even give you more ideas! >W>
