ways to make your age regression space more comfortable!

these are just ideas on how to make your space more of your space in a way. these ideas are to be taken with a grain of salt and are simply for fun! I just know that sometimes having a space can help people regress!

*ೃ theme:

think about if you want your space to have a certain theme that makes you feel cute and small! it can be stars, a certain aesthetic, sanrio, dinosaurs, princesses, superheros, or even just a solid color or two! it's up to you!

*ೃ lights/lighting:

what kind of lights do you want? do you want a lamp in the corner of your space? a night light or even some cute fairy lights? so many to choose from! and what color would they be? how dim will they be for you? it's all up to your heart's desire!

*ೃ comfort:

will your bed be your place for napping and playing or will it be a little tent? oh, and just blankets on the floor folder over once will do, it can be just as comfy, just don't forget the pillows and stuffies!

*ೃ snacks:

every baby needs a snack or two after playing some games and coloring so, what snacks will you have with you? it can range from fresh fruits and vegetables to even candy (but not too much)! whatever you pick will be yummy!

*ೃ activities:

the main part of this is preparing all the activities! there's so much to do, see, and hear! you can color your favorite page in your coloring book, play with your favorite toys, listen to your regression playlist, or simply just enjoy a movie in your safe place! so many possibilities!

age regression is a word so well known yet so unknown when it comes to it's definition and causes so, I'm here to educate you on it!

Age regression is when the brain defends itself from potential trauma, stress, and other negative emotions by reverting to a younger state of mind where the mind was less stressed, worry-free, loved, and cared for!

Other things that can trigger age regression are mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, dissociative identity disorder, borderline personality disorder, and many more.

Keep in mind in age regression, the person regressing is in the complete mindset of the younger age it goes to. This age can be very much younger than the body's age, ranging from infancy to preteen.

Also, age regression is recognized by mental health professionals as a coping/defense mechanism as well as a therapeutic technique used by therapists to help unlock or go back on traumatic events to help overcome and heal from the events.

Going back on my third paragraph on age regression and going a little more in-depth about what mental professionals know about it, age regression is NOT to be sexualized and associated with NSFW. The reason why this is very simple: the individual is in the mindset of a child. Morally everyone knows you would not associate a child with mature content so why would you associate that content with someone who is in the mental state of a child? Also, mental professionals are completely by this noting it is a coping mechanism, and what I stated about the mind reverting to the age of a child.

Age regression is a completely SFW coping/defense mechanism recognized by mental health professionals that helps people with trauma and mental illnesses go back to an age where they feel safe, cared for, and loved!

I wasn't shaming anyone's interests when I sent the comment about what age regression is and why the agere tag associated with kink tags is harmful to not only the people but the whole community! I'm sorry if you feel attacked (and I added and /nm just in case you felt that way!) my parents knew i regressed when I first found out a couple years ago. but I was embarrassed and didn’t know much about the community, so i didn’t really let them, or anyone in general, see me regress. i think they think ive “grown out” of it? scared of them finding my sippies or pacis, and then finding it weird! not sure how to bring it up again!

Hello! I absolutely do not mind answering this question! My parents are fully aware and sadly I've gotten some negative feedback on it, but don't let that stop you! having friends that support and help you through everything and even a community, made me realize it's not bad at all and sometimes people are to close minded to see some things for what they are.

Regression is a healthy, sfw, coping mechanism and should not be looked down on just because it's not the "norm" for coping mechanisms.

in the local strawberry farm among the strawberries, we're crouched, admiring and picking the ruby red strawberries, our slightly worn beige woven basket between us filled halfway with strawberries.

"look honey, when you pick the strawberries you have to be careful okay?" I say gently plucking a strawberry from the stem of the plant. "See? The strawberry isn't hurt and we can put it in the basket without any difficulties, now you try sweet baby." I watch as you hold the strawberry in your small hands before pulling hastily yet softly at the fruit, getting it successfully off it's stem. "good job baby! you did so good, I'm so proud of you munchkin!" I coo. I watch you pick a few more, gently tossing them in the basket before saying, "this should be enough strawberries for the tarts honey! your so good for helping baba!" I coo once more before picking up the basket out of the dark, rich soil dusting myself off a little. "come on sweet pea, hold my other hand so you don't get lost and we'll get you all cleaned up at home, okay?" you babble something incoherently smiling, grabbing my hand to pull yourself up from the dirt. "alright now, let's go make some tarts!" I smile.

"hold on sweetheart it's almost done cooling off then you can have them with you milk!" I say blowing the tarts off a little more before cutting a piece, putting it on a plate with vine decor and setting it in front of you. "don't touch it yet honey, be patient for baba okay?" I ask politely. I grab cold milk from the fridge, pouring it into a clear bottle/sippie before adding a splash of vanilla and sugar, then I grab a fork for the desert. "okay honey, let's see how these tarts taste, say ahh!" I take a piece of the tart feeding it to you gingerly. You hum in delight and bounce in your chair, babbling more and more. "okay okay! you can have more little one! thank you for being my taste tester!"
