Dick being sick of people infantilizing him after being Robin, refusing to be labelled as a kid or anything like it. He's Nightwing, he's one of the planet's most beloved heroes, he's fought gods and monsters and come out on top. But the boy has a meltdown when somebody passingly comments about how cute the current Robin is, indeed aren't they the cutest Robin there ever was? And Dick immediately being like "I was cute!" and defending himself like it's the last thing he will ever do, on the verge of crashing out while the newest Robin is just beaming at him like a possessed labubu because Dick is about three seconds from sobbing in the fetal position.

Blackout poetry exists on a dual axis from "banal" to "insightful" on the input side and "kind of deep" to "incredibly fucking dumb" on the output side, and while taking something banal and producing something kind of deep is well and fine, for my money taking something insightful and rendering it incredibly fucking dumb is where the real art is.

Jack dried his eyes when his laughter finally faded. The bags under his eyes were nearly invisible when he was grinning like that. He turned back to Hiccup, his eyes still a little watery. One of his brows quirked upwards, and Hiccup became conscious of his own staring. ps. im rewatching rtte and realised the edge is literally like on the shore. its not IN the island. so from where they were sitting they will be able to see the sea and not the mountains i drew in the last post. correction

Hey so, about your Out of Sight AU... ever read the norwegian fairytale East of The Sun, West of The Moon? The whole thing's on wikipedia!

I love falling down wikipedia legends rabbit holes, so yes, I have!! It's so interesting that there are many variants of this kind of story (reminds me of the Wife is Actually a Creature trope) (name not official)
