Here's some not-so-random facts for you. Did you know that every month there's a special name for the full moon? Did you know that for the month of August the moon is called a Sturgeon Moon? Did you know that a Sturgeon is a type of fish? And what a fish and full moon have to do with each other, we have no idea. But what we do know is that Sturgeon sounds a lot like the name of our dear friend Spurgeon, so we decided to rename the moon after him and throw a full moon party. At Betel we try our best to bring a bit of Thai tradition to the West Village with our awesome full moon parties. So if you're into southeast asian cuisine, awesome drink specials, live music from our famous bartending DJ, FlayVore and people named Spurgeon then you should definitely join us on Saturday, August 17th.

It’s there on the menu. You see it, and are intrigued by it, but how can you risk ordering something when you have no idea what it is?!? Bo la lot. Trust us. You want to try this deliciousness. Spiced beef rolls wrapped in betel leaves, skewered, and grilled to perfection, served with bib lettuce for wrapping, and our red nahm jim for dipping.  Fragrant beef mingles with the tart and spicy sauce in the most wonderful, mouth-watering way - in the way that makes you fork stab your friends in order to get the last one. So what? You won.
