Blessed with the power to heal and not aging and such cursed to heal wounds over and over but unable to protect people from being hurt until her faith in humanity was ruined and her psyche destroyed.

While he's not a good guy, and is often enjoying immortal life, he never wanted it originally, and has had long depressive and suicidal periods in his life because of or related to his immortality. He was kidnapped, tortured/abused and turned into a vampire against his will and in quite a traumatic way, only to then be abandoned by his maker and forced to figure out life as a vampire on his own. Even in his later/more recent years, he still struggles on and off with depression and suicidal tendencies, esp after losing Louis and Claudia, as we see the aftermath of at the end of season 2 with his reunion with Louis.

A bloodfiend (basically a vampire) that wishes to live in peace with humans but the constant thirst for blood makes it nigh impossible, not to mention other possible difficulties such as an irrational fear of water

Perhaps a controversial reading of the text to call him a cursed immortal? But one I enjoy. As seen most prominently in the episodes “go to the mirror” and “the black coat” the timeline seems to skip a beat when he dies, and reality contorts so that that didn’t happen. From my understanding this is why everyone in town has memories of his childhood that he doesn’t remember. Not the worst curse an immortal can have, but this disconnect with his community, lack of knowledge about himself, and of course severe phobia of mirrors (which reflect the corpse of a this-timeline-made-alternate-timeline-teenage-Cecil) is enough to qualify him in my mind.

He's the "snake" from the Epic of Gilgamesh and has been around ever since. The fruit of life ensured he can't die, and a curse from Gilgamesh ensured his healing factor involves pulling his own skin off and that nobody will ever trust him. Oh, and Gilgamesh is equally immortal and hates his guts. He can take a lot of hits and usually does. Everyone who knows him is aware that he's pointlessly suicidal. One of his friends carries the only weapon that stands a chance of killing him and he has begged for it. Quote (third book, addressed to him): "But for us, the struggle against our inner darkness ends at a headstone and full stop. For you, seeds of evil grow to weeds no matter how often you pluck them from the garden. One with eyes to see can spot it in you even now, Nolan, once called Nikales. Rage. Despair. Boredom. Laika is a coyote mother who lives in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. She has a family curse that allows her to resurrect after death, but this power has made it so the responsibility of defending her home is placed solely upon her, whether she likes it or not. Every time she dies, every time she kills, she feels like a part of herself doesn't make it back. She's pressured to have a daughter who can inherit her curse and protect her home in her stead — but most of them never survived the process.

He's the last in his species so he has no one else left and he's going to have to watch his adoptive mother and sister die one day
